Application Drop Off
Jan-Jun 2014: 27%
On 1.1M applies, that’s over 310,000 incomplete applications
In June we reduced the required fields in our application by nearly 50% (is this accurate???)
In the second half of the year we reduced out drop off rate to just over 21%.
While that doesn’t look like a HUGE improvement, it resulted in over 55k additional applications.
At an average CPA of $6.50 we saved over $360,000!

This slide is useful to highlight that all cohorts utilize Mobile, and it is reasonable to assume that depending on which cohort a seeker is a member of may dictate amount of application form completed on mobile V’s desktop. But importantly in EVERY cohort the apply journey could start on mobile. AND increasingly they ARE….
How does it look to job seekers when an employer doesn’t provide a good mobile experience? It’s not very pretty. Jobs are hard to find and view – and the mobile-savvy consumer does not have a lot of patience for that type of experience. Despite the fact that we all know this intuitively, a study from the Financial Times and Incentivated, a mobile marketing company, found that two-thirds of companies in the FTSE 100 still have websites that are difficult to use on smartphones.
