
Test Consists : 4 sections

Time Given : 30 minutes + 10 minutes extra to transfer your
answers to your answer sheet.

No of Questions : 40 items

Questions Type : A variety of question types is used. Questions
types that you will see will usually come from the following list:
A. Multiple choice
B. Short answer
C. Sentence completion
D. Notes/diagram/flow chart completion


Test Consists : 3 sections

Time Given : 60 minutes only

No of Questions : 40 items

Questions Type : Texts are taken from magazines,
journals, books and newspapers. A short glossary will be
provided if candidates are unware of any words or would
not be expected to know.


Test Consists : 2 Tasks

Time Given : 60 minutes

Questions Type : Task : 1, Task : 2
Task 1: The candidate has to summarise, explain or describe
a diagram, graph, process or chart.

short essay of at least 250 words.





Questions Type : Texts are taken from advertisements,
magazines, journals, books and newspapers. Texts
become progressively harder.



Task 1: The candidate has a letter writing task of at least 150
words.
Task 2: The candidate has a short essay task of at least 250

15. IELTS Band Score
Candidates receive band score from 1 to 9 on each of the 4 modules:
Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Overall Band Score is the
result of the average of these 4 scores which has been rounded to the
nearest whole or half band.
