Legal requirements All 5.4m UK companies are required to comply with waste and timber regulations. 6,965 are required to comply with the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS). Voluntary schemes Uptake of voluntary schemes is increasing. Reporting companies 71% of large companies are reporting CR (KPMG, 2013). Large companies now requiring their supply chain (SMEs) to improve sustainability.
