Love is the Completion of the Thurah
THE TRUE MEANING OF LOVE
• The Nail - Laying down one’s life for friends
• Leader – the source is YAH
• Strength – Love is as strong as death
• Reveal – we reveal who we are by our love
• Behold – we point people to YAH through our worship of Him
• Family – because of His love, He made us His children, and we cry out
“Abba, Abba”
• House – we are a member of His household, and He spreads His covering
over us
• Tau – we receive His mark – the sign of His covenant – the Sabbath and
we receive the seal of YAH – which is His Name on our foreheads
• TRUE LOVE comes from the Aleph and the Tau – the First and the Last!
Owe no one any matter except to love one another, for he who loves another has
filled the Thurah. For this, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not
murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall
not covet,” Exo_20:13-17, Deu_5:17-21 and if there is any other command, it is summed up in
this word, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Lev_19:18.
Love does no evil to a neighbour. Therefore, love is completion of the Thurah.
And do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for us to wake up from
sleep, for now our deliverance is nearer than when we did believe. The night is far
advanced, the day has come near.
So let us put off the works of darkness and let us put on the armour of light.
Let us walk becomingly, as in the day, not in wild parties and drunkenness, not in
living together and indecencies, not in fighting and envy, but put on the Master
‫יהושע‬ Messiah, and make no provision for the lusts of the flesh.
Romans 13:8-14
The Ten Commandments
Exo 20:1 And Alahym spoke all these Words, saying,
Exo 20:2 “I am ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the
house of slavery.
Exo 20:3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face.
Exo 20:4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the
heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth,
Exo 20:5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym am a jealous
Al, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations
of those who hate Me,
Exo 20:6 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard
My commands.
Exo 20:7 “You do not bringa the Name of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym to naught, for ‫יהוה‬ does not leave
the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. Footnote: aOr lift up, or take.
Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart.
Exo 20:9 “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbathb of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym. You do not do any work –
you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your
cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. Footnote: bThere are other Sabbaths, but this
is the weekly Sabbath.
Exo 20:11 “For in six days ‫יהוה‬ made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in
them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore ‫יהוה‬ blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.
The Ten Commandments (cont’d)
Exo 20:12 “Respect your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged upon the
soil which ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym is giving you.
Exo 20:13 “You do not murder.
Exo 20:14 “You do not commit adultery.
Exo 20:15 “You do not steal.
Exo 20:16 “You do not bear false witness against your neighbour.
Exo 20:17 “You do not covet your neighbour’s house, you do not covet your neighbour’s
wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever
belongs to your neighbour.”
Exo 20:18 And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the voice of the shophar,
and the mountain smoking. And the people saw it, and they trembled and stood at a distance,
Exo 20:19 and said to Mosheh, “You speak with us and we hear, but let not Alahym speak
with us, lest we die.”
Exo 20:20 And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not fear, for Alahym has come to prove you,
and in order that His fear be before you, so that you do not sin.”
Exo 20:21 So the people stood at a distance, but Mosheh drew near the thick darkness where
Alahym was.
The Ten Commandments
Deu 5:1 And Mosheh called all Yashar'AL , and said to them, “Hear, O Yashar'AL , the laws and
right-rulings which I speak in your hearing today. And you shall learn them, and guard to do
them.
Deu 5:2 “‫יהוה‬ our Alahym made a covenant with us in Ḥorěḇ.
Deu 5:3 “‫יהוה‬ did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here
today, all of us who are alive.
Deu 5:4 “‫יהוה‬ spoke with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.
Deu 5:5 “I stood between ‫יהוה‬ and you at that time, to declare to you the Word of ‫יהוה‬ – for
you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain – saying:
Deu 5:6 I am ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the
house of bondage.
Deu 5:7 You have no other mighty ones against My face.
Deu 5:8 You do not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of which is in the heavens
above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth,
Deu 5:9 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym, am a jealous
AL, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth
generations of those who hate Me,
Deu 5:10 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard
My commands.
The Ten Commandments (cont’d)
Deu 5:11 You do not bringa the Name of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym to naught, for ‫יהוה‬ does not leave
him unpunished who brings His Name to naught. Footnote: aOr lift up, or take.
Deu 5:12 Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym commanded you.
Deu 5:13 Six days you labour, and shall do all your work,
Deu 5:14 but the seventh day is a Sabbathb of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym. You do not do any work –
you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your
ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, so that
your male servant and your female servant rest as you do. Footnote: bSee footnote at
Exo_20:10.
Deu 5:15 And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and that
‫יהוה‬ your Alahym brought you out from there by a strong hand and by an outstretched arm.
Therefore ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym commanded you to perform the Sabbath day.
Deu 5:16 Respect your father and your mother, as ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym has commanded you, so
that your days are prolonged, and so that it is well with you on the soil which ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym
is giving you.
Deu 5:17 You do not murder.
Deu 5:18 You do not commit adultery.
Deu 5:19 You do not steal.
Deu 5:20 You do not bear false witness against your neighbour.
Deu 5:21 You do not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor do you desire your neighbour’s house,
his field, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, his ox, nor his donkey, or whatever
belongs to your neighbour.’
The Ten Commandments (cont’d)
Deu 5:22 “These Wordsc ‫יהוה‬ spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of
the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a loud voice, and He added no more. And
He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. Footnote: c“Word(s)" is very
often used as a synonym for “command(s),” in the Messianic Writings too.
Deu 5:23 “And it came to be, when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while
the mountain was burning with fire, that you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and
your elders,
Deu 5:24 and said, ‘See, ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym has shown us His esteem and His greatness, and we
have heard His voice from the midst of the fire. Today we have seen that Alahym speaks with
man – and he lives!
Deu 5:25 And now why should we die? For this great fire is consuming us. If we hear the voice
of ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym any more, then we shall die.
Deu 5:26 For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living Alahym speaking
from the midst of the fire, as we have, and does live?
Deu 5:27 You go near and hear all that ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym says, and speak to us all that ‫יהוה‬ our
Alahym says to you, and we shall hear and do it.’
Deu 5:28 “And ‫יהוה‬ heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and ‫יהוה‬ said to me,
‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have
done well in all that they have spoken.
The Ten Commandments (cont’d)
Deu 5:29 Oh, that they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and to guard all My
commands always, so that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
Deu 5:30 Go, say to them, “Return to your tents.”
Deu 5:31 But you, stand here by Me, and let Me speak to you all the commands, and the laws,
and the right-rulings which you are to teach them. And they shall do them in the land which I
am giving them to possess.’
Deu 5:32 “And you shall guard to do as ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym has commanded you – do not turn
aside, to the right or to the left.
Deu 5:33 “Walk in all the ways which ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym has commanded you, so that you
live and it be well with you. And you shall prolong your days in the land which you
possess.”
Lev 19:9 ‘And when you reap the harvest of your land, do not completely reap the
corners of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.
Lev 19:10 ‘And do not glean your vineyard or gather every grape of your vineyard,
leave them for the poor and the stranger. I am ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym.
Lev 19:11 ‘Do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another.
Lev 19:12 ‘And do not swear falsely by My Name and so profane the Name of your
Alahym. I am ‫יהוה‬.
Lev 19:13 ‘Do not oppress your neighbour or rob him. The wages of him who is
hired is not to remain with you all night until morning.
Lev 19:14 ‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling-block before the blind, but
fear your Alahym. I am ‫יהוה‬.
Love Your Neighbor as Yourself (cont’d)
Lev 19:15 ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling. Do not be partial to the poor or
favour the face of the great, but rightly rule your neighbour in righteousness.
Lev 19:16 ‘Do not go slandering among your people. Do not stand against the
blood of your neighbour. I am ‫יהוה‬.
Lev 19:17 ‘Do not hate your brother in your heart. Reprove your neighbour, for
certain, and bear no sin because of him.
Lev 19:18 ‘Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your
people. And you shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am ‫יהוה‬.

HEBREW GREEK
AHAB AGAPE
Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, is not
puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not
provoked, reckons not the evil, does not rejoice over the
unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, it covers all, believes all,
expects all, endures all. Love never fails. And whether there be
prophecies, they shall be inactive; or tongues, they shall cease; or
knowledge, it shall be inactive. For we know in part and we prophesy in
part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part
shall be inactive. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a
child, I reasoned as a child. But when I became a man, I did away with
childish matters. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.
Now I know in part, but then I shall know, as I also have been known.
And now belief, expectation, and love remain - these three. But the
greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-13
CHARACTERISTICS OF LOVE
1Jn 4:7 Beloved ones, let us love one
another, because LOVE IS OF ALAHYM, and
everyone who loves has been born of
Alahym, and knows Alahym.
THE SOURCE OF LOVE
Son 8:6 Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm; For LOVE IS AS
STRONG AS DEATH, Jealousy as cruel as
She’ol; Its flames are flames of fire, a flame
of YAH!
THE STRENGTH OF LOVE
Matthew 7:12
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 22:39
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another.
Romans 13:10
Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.
Galatians 5:14
The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
James 2:8
If you really fulfill the royal law stated in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well.
1 John 3:10
By this the children of Al are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of Al,
nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

TEHILLIM / PSALM 119: 81-104
YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET
Psa 119:81 Kaph For Your deliverance my being has pined away, For
I have waited for Your word.
Psa 119:82 My eyes have pined away for Your word, Saying, “When
would it comfort me?”
Psa 119:83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, Your laws
I have not forgotten.
Psa 119:84 How many are the days of Your servant? When do You
execute right-ruling On those who persecute me?
Psa 119:85 The proud have dug pits for me, Which is not according
to Your Thurah.
Psa 119:86 All Your commands are trustworthy; They have
persecuted me with lies; Help me!
Psa 119:87 They almost made an end of me on earth, But I, I did not
forsake Your orders.
Psa 119:88 Revive me according to Your loving-commitment, That I
might guard the witness of Your mouth.
Psa 119:89 Lamed Forever, O ‫יהוה‬, Your word stands firm in the
heavens.
Psa 119:90 Your trustworthiness is to all generations; You
established the earth, and it stands.
Psa 119:91 According to Your right-rulings They have stood to this
day, For all are Your servants.
Psa 119:92 If Your Thurah had not been my delight, I would have
perished in my affliction.
Psa 119:93 Let me never forget Your orders, For by them You have given
me life.
Psa 119:94 I am Yours, save me; For I have sought Your orders.
Psa 119:95 The wrong have waited for me to destroy me; I understand
Your witnesses.
Psa 119:96 I have seen an end of all perfection; Your command is
exceedingly broad.
Psa 119:97 Mem O how I love Your Thurah! It is my study all day long.
Psa 119:98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies; For it is
ever before me.
Psa 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your
witnesses are my study.
Psa 119:100 I understand more than the aged, For I have observed Your
orders.
Psa 119:101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I might
guard Your word.
Psa 119:102 I have not turned aside from Your right-rulings, For You
Yourself have taught me.
Psa 119:103 How sweet to my taste has Your word been, More than
honey to my mouth!
Psa 119:104 From Your orders I get understanding; Therefore, I have
hated every false way.

  • 4. THE TRUE MEANING OF LOVE • The Nail - Laying down one’s life for friends • Leader – the source is YAH • Strength – Love is as strong as death • Reveal – we reveal who we are by our love • Behold – we point people to YAH through our worship of Him • Family – because of His love, He made us His children, and we cry out “Abba, Abba” • House – we are a member of His household, and He spreads His covering over us • Tau – we receive His mark – the sign of His covenant – the Sabbath and we receive the seal of YAH – which is His Name on our foreheads • TRUE LOVE comes from the Aleph and the Tau – the First and the Last!
  • 5. Owe no one any matter except to love one another, for he who loves another has filled the Thurah. For this, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” Exo_20:13-17, Deu_5:17-21 and if there is any other command, it is summed up in this word, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Lev_19:18. Love does no evil to a neighbour. Therefore, love is completion of the Thurah. And do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for us to wake up from sleep, for now our deliverance is nearer than when we did believe. The night is far advanced, the day has come near. So let us put off the works of darkness and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk becomingly, as in the day, not in wild parties and drunkenness, not in living together and indecencies, not in fighting and envy, but put on the Master ‫יהושע‬ Messiah, and make no provision for the lusts of the flesh. Romans 13:8-14

Exo 20:4 “You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, Exo 20:5 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym am a jealous Al, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, Exo 20:6 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands. Exo 20:7 “You do not bringa the Name of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym to naught, for ‫יהוה‬ does not leave the one unpunished who brings His Name to naught. Footnote: aOr lift up, or take. Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. Exo 20:9 “Six days you labour, and shall do all your work, Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is a Sabbathb of ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. Footnote: bThere are other Sabbaths, but this is the weekly Sabbath. Exo 20:11 “For in six days ‫יהוה‬ made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore ‫יהוה‬ blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

And the people saw it, and they trembled and stood at a distance, Exo 20:19 and said to Mosheh, “You speak with us and we hear, but let not Alahym speak with us, lest we die.” Exo 20:20 And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not fear, for Alahym has come to prove you, and in order that His fear be before you, so that you do not sin.” Exo 20:21 So the people stood at a distance, but Mosheh drew near the thick darkness where Alahym was.

Deu 5:3 “‫יהוה‬ did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive. Deu 5:4 “‫יהוה‬ spoke with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. Deu 5:5 “I stood between ‫יהוה‬ and you at that time, to declare to you the Word of ‫יהוה‬ – for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain – saying: Deu 5:6 I am ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of bondage. Deu 5:8 You do not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, Deu 5:9 you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, ‫יהוה‬ your Alahym, am a jealous AL, visiting the crookedness of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, Deu 5:10 but showing loving-commitment to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands.

And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. Footnote: c“Word(s)" is very often used as a synonym for “command(s),” in the Messianic Writings too. Deu 5:23 “And it came to be, when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, that you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders, Deu 5:24 and said, ‘See, ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym has shown us His esteem and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire. Today we have seen that Alahym speaks with man – and he lives! Deu 5:25 And now why should we die? For this great fire is consuming us. If we hear the voice of ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym any more, then we shall die. Deu 5:26 For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living Alahym speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and does live? Deu 5:27 You go near and hear all that ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym says, and speak to us all that ‫יהוה‬ our Alahym says to you, and we shall hear and do it.’ Deu 5:28 “And ‫יהוה‬ heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me, and ‫יהוה‬ said to me, ‘I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. • 16. Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, is not puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not provoked, reckons not the evil, does not rejoice over the unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, it covers all, believes all, expects all, endures all. Love never fails. And whether there be prophecies, they shall be inactive; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall be inactive. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall be inactive. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child. But when I became a man, I did away with childish matters. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know, as I also have been known. And now belief, expectation, and love remain - these three. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 CHARACTERISTICS OF LOVE

  • 19. Matthew 7:12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 22:39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' John 13:34 A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. Romans 13:10 Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law. Galatians 5:14 The entire law is fulfilled in a single decree: "Love your neighbor as yourself." James 2:8 If you really fulfill the royal law stated in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well. 1 John 3:10 By this the children of Al are distinguished from the children of the devil: Anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of Al, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
