Challenges Introduced By Cloud • Cloud introduces additional complexity with dynamic provisioning and de-provisioning • Management tools must stay in sync with provisioned resources • Application performance must be measured while overall environment keeps changing • Application response time and availability needs to be monitored and correlated with dynamic changes • Capacity Planning becomes a critical task to ensure that the required resources are available before new workloads are provisioned • Must be able to Monitor the resources and report on problems and utilization in a very dynamic environment • Consumers must be charged for the resources used 7
