5. Location & History
As one of the world’s leading (and oldest)
surgical institutions, we have been based
in the leafy environs of Lincoln’s Inn Fields
since 1797. Built in 1835, our Grade II* listed
home was designed by Sir Charles Barry, the
architect of the Houses of Parliament. Our
grand facade and marble entrance captivate all
those who visit us, whether to attend an event
or visit our unique Hunterian Museum.

7. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help
with the Pfizer symposium. The session was a success and
everything ran very smoothly. I look forward to future

people for your conference. You can
take advantage of the Edward Lumley
Hall as a flexible space for cabaret
or theatre-style seating, or for your
exhibition. Our three auditoriums are
all air conditioned and purpose built
to provide outstanding audio visual
presentations and multimedia content.
Our in-house audio visual team will
always be on hand to assist you and
help you get the most from technology
to connect with your audience.

of catering options from sandwiches

in some unique spaces you can’t find
anywhere else. Our Hunterian Museum
is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for
your guests. Housing the collection
of John Hunter, the Crystal Gallery
of 3,000 glass jars showcases his
fascinating assortment of original
anatomical preparations, fossils and
skeletons. If you are looking for a more
intimate setting then our Surgeons’
Library is ideal.
