I am a trained Lawyer. Started my career in the insurance business. There I met a man with a disability. We became friends and he introduced me to the organisation STIL, www.stil.se, where I gave legal support to the members. Then in 1994 the Swedish disability ombudsman, HO, was set up and my time as a civil servant began. I became administrative director in 1997 and took courses in controlling and quality development. The courses were designed for the public sector. 2003 I also became the leader of the Swedish Accessibility Centre situated at HO.
