down in 2011. Now spending most of
my time on climate activities (90 % of
the time I don´t sleep.)

- My Photography website – combining my
passion for Climate Change with a long time
passion for photography.
35. My reasons for doing this:
I´m convinced that:
The continuation of our entire Civilization is at
stake here
Politicians must be ”forced” to make the
threats of climate change seriously
People feel powerless and react with apathy
Ignorance and paralysis are the most
important obstacles
Good solutions exist but people don´t know
about them.
If people knew the truth, they WOULD force
their politicians give this top priority
36. My reasons for doing this:
I´m an optimist with
Knowledge about this
Massive teaching experience
Children,
Grandchildren and
Great-grandchildren
I believe that
TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE THE CIVILIZATION
But it´s not a Spectator´s Sport
And: I believe that educating people about Climate Change
is an important key to reaching that goal!
45. This is important because:
- we still have a chance to solve this
- we need all good forces in this
- we must hurry
- our politicians are NOT going to solve this
UNLESS WE DEMAND THAT THEY DO!
46. Time to visit the ”Climate Cinema”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IFHMj3lqGI
47. Popular misconceptions about Climate
Change:
(the movie showed that they were all wrong)
Climate has always been changing
Nature itself is doing it – not us
It´s not that dangerous
I´ve changed lightbulbs and cannot do any more
It´s far off in time and space – not happening
here and now – gives us lot´s of time to fix it
48. More misconceptions:
The politicians will fix it
The little I can do is like a drop in the sea
I already changed lightbulbs and drive an electric
car – so there´s nothing more I can do
This will not become serious until 100 years from
now
49. - Or even worse:
- it´s too late anyway, so let´s just enjoy the
party until the very last moment…
67. So it´s not in the future
It´s here already – and getting worse day by day
But why do we need to mobilize and act now?
And why is it important that as many as possible
join the fight?
And how can we best contribute to this process?
68. Do we see the danger before it is too late:
FENWAY PARK STADIUM
69. Fenway Park Stadium
• Imagine Fenway Park Stadium
• Imagine a pipette, releasing a magical drop
down into the stadium at 12.00. The droplet has
the property that it is doubling in size every
minute.
• After about six minutes it fills a thimble
• Question 1: When is stadium full of water?
• Question 2: When is stadium 7% full?
• Question 3: Imagine also that you are sitting
linked to a chair on the top row. When do you
realize that there is danger ahead?
Answers:
Q 1: 12.49. hrs
Q 2: 12.45. hrs
Q 3: Much Too late
Right now we are at 12.48 hrs when it comes to the climate!
70. Politicians promise us continued growth
And that is a large part of the problem!
Most of us consider continued growth granted.
Whatever we have, it´s never enough.
But something that grows with a fixed percentage
a year is called exponential.
And most people haven´t understood the
dangers of exponential growth:

75. People who totally deny
man-made climate change still
exist
- but their numbers are
decreasing rapidly
76. 3 types of denial:
INTELLECTUAL
You reject that climate change is happening and
that it´s man-made
EMOTIONAL
You accept climate change being real and man-
made, but the acceptance stays in your head. It
doesn´t affect you emotionally, does not fill your
body, does not reach your stomach and your heart.
POLITICAL
You recognize climate change, you are strongly
affected emotionally by it, but that does not lead you
to become politically active.
85. As I said earlier:
The Politicians need help from us, the people:
“Politicians discussing global warming” —Sculpture
by Spanish street artist Isaac Cordal.
86. What would be an efficient wake-up call
for the climate?
And when will it be
too late?
87. We need a mobilization a la World
War II:
Franklin D. Roosevelt
91. Summary and conclusion:
My hope is
That you now understand why this is urgent
That you understand that everyone can influence
the people in the political system by using their
vote for the sake of giving Climate Change first
priority
That we can work together educating and
empowering people about Climate Change,
showing them that it´s important to act before
it´s too late, and that everyone counts!
92. Summary and conclusion:
My hope is
That you understand that Climate Change is
happening now
That you find it scary and are curious to find out
more
That you believe what I say - in your head, heart
and stomach
That you realize that we all must act on a political
level
That you want to learn more about it and about
how you can contribute

TURN UP HERE AT ALANYA HEP UNIVERSITY:
Friday 20.th of November
2015, 13:30 hrs.
This is about making a bridge to the students, so I start with the theme: ”We all have something we are burning for”
Many (most) students choose the subject focusing on a combination of their skills and their passions
So now: Take a couple of minutes before we go on, to think about what YOU are passionate about
After the students have had time to think, we go on:
For most people, the passion is focusing on something going on here and now
- It can be the family
- The everyday life as a whole
- The passion can be focused on solving immediate personal problems, leaving no energy to anything else
- The studies may be totally exhausting – the word passion does not exist in your dictionary
- Financial problems are binding your mind and emotions
- And finally: A love relationship is focus all the time
Some of us also include some considerations about the future in our passions......
- But foreseeing what´s going to happen is not easy -
- Some of us are optimists – some pessimists
- To obtain what we want we try making strategies maximize the chance of a positive outcome
- Our perspective may be shorter or longer
- It can be difficult to see the big picture because we tend to be specialized, focusing on well known details
So: being close to the phenomena sometimes prevents us from seeing the big picture!
- And it may be even harder to see things clearly, when you, yourself, are part of it! Listen to Mother Nature speaking!
Most of us like to feel that we are in control of our life
But what if .........
- Our future becomes ................
What if what we see ahead of us has some hidden, unforeseen embedded dangers, which might force us to discard all our plans for the future?
Now let me turn to what I have been and am burning for:
For many years, it was a combination of photography and classical music.
After having started focusing on climate change, It´s my great-grandchildren and their chance to have a good life.
So now I spend almost all time working to create awarness about Climate Change, hoping that you, after this course will share my pssion for this.
Because we need to save the planet.
Some say that Climate Change is more dangerous to mankind than to the planet
So may turn out to be a question of saving our human civilization
And some say that we have a lot of time to do it. I do not believe so, and during this course you will learn that it is an illusion, that we have to act fast,
”It´s now or Never”
