Nigeria produces 490 metric tons of greenhouse gases every year.
From the region, there are reports of :
High levels of respiratory and skin infections among
inhabitants (Oguntoke et al., 2012; Tunji-Olayeni et al, 2019)
Frequent chlorosis of crops (Oyinloye 2015)
Contaminaion of streams and rivers
Unsafe drinking water (Oyinloye 2015)
Decay of aquatic life (Oyinloye 2015)
Low awareness of climate knowledge.

1. Increase awareness of climate change & its effects;
2. Intensify the awareness of climate change mitigation &
adaptation strategies;
3. Provide weather & climate information;
4. Empower secondary school students with information on how
to choose careers that will help the society solve emerging
environmental problems arising from the impacts of climate
change; and
5. Encourage active collaboration in tackling climate change

the students.
