Cayce Celebrates Two Years with No Lost Time Accidents
The ARYZTA Cayce Bakery celebrated two years with no lost time accidents in November with a
Safety Celebration cookout for the employees in all three shifts.
The Bakery management team and corporate visitors staffed the November 5 event, with
Cayce's Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Demetrius Rumph on the grill donning his
chef attire for the employees. The theme for the achievement was "WE DID IT" which reflects
the involvement of all 350 Cayce team members putting safety at the forefront of every task
performed each day.
David Maxwell, DVP, Bakery - Frozen Dough, and Robert Stoddard, Cayce Bakery Director, both
emphasized that even though the bakery has gained some momentum in its safety
performance, the Cayce team must remain vigilant in communicating our safety expectations,
focus and awareness. Every employee should take responsibility for their own safety while
watching out for their peers as well.
Matt Gabris, VP, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Louis DeLorenzo, Director,
Environmental, Health and Safety, were in attendance, helping to flip hamburgers and hotdogs
on the grill for all three shifts. Their presence helped emphasize to everyone the significance of
the milestone achieved. Cayce employees appreciated the support from both corporate safety
leaders, and enjoyed their cooking skills.
Congratulations to the Cayce Bakery employees on this safety achievement!
