Special Operations Capable Specialist, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician
Developed and maintained the capability to conduct independent EOD operations in support of Marine
Special Operations Teams (MSOT) while forward deployed in combat operations.
Conducted initial and sustainment Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) training enhancing the
MSOT’s threat analysis capability to identify and mitigate enemy IED emplacement and actions.
Developed as the SSE Team Leader, the exploitation SOP’s for the Marine Special Operations Company
(MSOC) and Teams illustrating basic and advanced collection techniques, evidence considerations,
photography, documentation, and chain of custody.
Participated, planned and successfully executed twenty large scale joint Afghan National Army Commando
and Special Forces clearing and disruption operations conducted in insurgent safe havens.
Assisted in the development, analysis, planning and execution of over 70 full spectrum operations, during
which, over 60 IED’s were discovered and rendered safe through mentorship of the Afghan Engineers.
Instructed several Explosive Hazard Reduction Courses (EHRC) and validated Afghan Commando
Engineers in route clearance, IED detection and hazards, render safe procedures, evidence collection and
important reporting requirements to their intelligence officers.
Enhanced Afghan Special Forces and Commandos effectiveness with SSE instruction and biometric
capabilities that continuously yielded persons of interest and follow on intelligence driven operations.
Certified as a Level 3 in Exploitation Analysis utilizing the latest in Gas Chromatography-Mass
Spectrometry, DNA presumption, media and cellular extraction, latent print analysis, drug and explosive
identification, and IED reconstruction providing a Special Operations Task Force with dedicated rapid
forensics analysis essential for time sensitive missions.
Supervised operations, exploitation collections, reporting, and equipment readiness of 12 EOD teams in
Western Afghanistan as the SOTF-W EOD Team Leader.
Operated Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (SUAS) Puma’s during operations providing intelligence,
surveillance, and targeting data that allowed the MSOT to detect and destroy concealed enemy fighters.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician
Conducted combat EOD operations in Iraq and Afghanistan responding to coalition force IED notifications
on discovery and post blast.
Rendered safe approximately 200 IED’s, disposed of thousands of ordnance items that presented an
explosive hazard, and conducted approximately 50 post blast investigations as the Assistant Team Leader.
Instructed approximately 1600 Marines and Sailors on CIED awareness, current enemy TTP’s for their
region, and electronic countermeasure theory and application.

Assisted the Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell (CEXC) in Iraq with evidence processing and
completed approximately 75 cases, recovering 22 fingerprints and DNA samples, to be used in Iraqi court.
Sustained and operated several robot variants in austere combat environments with monthly preventative
maintenance, repairs, and accountability.
Provided EOD support to the U.S. Secret Service during Very Important Persons Protection Support Activity
(VIPPSA) missions for members of the Bush Administration.
Regularly conducted range clearance operations aboard Camp Lejeune, NC reducing unexploded ordnance
and performed inerting operations on a wide range of U.S. and Foreign ordnance.
Maintained over 12 million dollars in tools and equipment that required monthly accountability, preventative
maintenance and sensitive calibrations to rapidly deploy as directed.
