There are few land cover/land use maps of Brazil for specific years (1994, 2002 and 2010) `Our challenge: develop a cheaper, faster and reliable method do produce the historical annual land cover/use maps of Brazil Traditional method is expensive, slow and require lot a equipment, software and interpreters Create the tools to facilitate the dissemination and adoption of the method in other countries/regions. Publish the data, analyses, tools and script in a open cloud base platform.

- We need to understand transitions Emissions Underline causes of deforestation, degradation, regeneration Identify the need for technical assistance / pubic policy In other to produce at least annual land use maps because the dynamics of change in our country is immense If we understand the not just where deforestation happend, but what is the driver If we can understand the different partners in different regions … We can apply policies much more effectively. Example: Sugar cane and Cattle in in São Paulo Catle and Agriculture in Mato Grosso (ex. of Sinop)

- The best on Computer Science, Remote Sensing Specialists and Experts on Land Use, Forest and Biodiversity Operating on the same platform where they can exercise their knowledge collectively Workshops, Weakly Web Conferences and a lots of exchenges of codes and discoveries through Code Editor and Workpace. Withouh GEE this effort would be impossible
