Rory Smith, a local comedy genius whose recent hit TV show "The Edge of Madness" has been commissioned for a second series, is welcomed into the Oldham Community Radio studio on a gloomy morning. Elise asks Rory how he is doing, and he jokes that while people always complain about the weather, no one ever does anything about it. This elicits laughter from Elise and the others in the studio. At Elise's request, they play an extract from "The Edge of Madness" in which Rory tells a joke on stage in front of a warm crowd, playing off Sean Connery's famous accent.
