"The values of Walgreen and its family of companies:
honesty, trust, integrity; caring and compassion; community
commitment and service… are similar to the core vales of
the five branches of our military and its nearly 2 million
members both on active duty and in the reserves.
As one of the nation’s largest-scale employers, we believe
US employers should demonstrate respect for the sacrifice of
our veterans by putting measures in place to help them find
work upon their return.“

"Veterans acquire valued skill sets in the military and those
skills are translatable to the private sector. For example,
veterans are prudent risk takers, they’re entrepreneurial,
they have advanced team-building skills, strong
organizational commitment, and experience working in
diverse settings. What organization couldn’t use team
