2. Our society today is more
influenced by media and
film.
Every day we come
across incidents that
happens around us seems
have got more influence of
the films that the youth
view.
3. Well from the young to the old and
from children to youth we hear them
sing latest film songs.
Today a school going child knows all
the latest movies and latest songs
that is being released in the theaters.
In way we must be happy that they
are kept informed well with the
present but...
4. Why we need to discuss on this
topic? would be the question that
would be arising in many of the
readers of this article.
Well I am being a teacher I love to see
the children update themselves with
latest events of the world and they
grow better.
I am really surprised today with one
incident that I have come across in
my class.
5. As a English language teacher I
have asked my students to
prepare important easy that would
hopefully be asked during their
board exam.
The lesson was taught and
explanations were given and the
important points were given to
them in the class.
6. When the day came for them to write the
test, I did not want them to do as we
usually do writing the test.
I have asked them just to give me the
summary of essay and brief the answer
too.
I used to ask them the update of sports,
educations, games, cricket, media,
important events in the world, daily news
etc for about 3 to 5 minutes every day so
that the children aware of the world
better.
7. Today I happened to ask the boy what
are the latest movies that has hit the
screens this week and the latest song
that captured many likes in the face
book.
Surprisingly the boy who suppose to be
a slow learner in my class stood up and
explained whole story in a nutshell, the
way he explained I was wondered
whether he is the director of the movie.
I was wonderstruck with the talent that
he has been blessed with.
8. The very next question of mine was
to the boy is to brief the essay but
he failed.
I was just wondered the boy so
called so learner was able to
narrate the three hours story so
well.
Why he can’t remember the easy
that has been taught to him one full
year and timely examinations could
not be successful.
9. Well I don’t blame the child it is the
influence and the interest matters.
The media and film so much
captivates the mind of the people it
has become part of human life.
We cannot do away with it. We often
find a rickshaw puller, a cooli who
works in a market, a mechanic in a car
service centre humming a latest
numbers of film turns.
10. We hear a young man or a
woman talking enthusiastically
about the acting of a hero or a
heroin or even a wonderful
child actor or an actress.
The drone pipe pants, the
mini skits, the fold of saree
and different kind of shirts
have been imitated from the
actors and actresses.
11. We can always feel the young
generation today with mobile
phone, iPods, taps in their
hands and head set on their
hears just moving with dance
on the street sometimes never
even noticing what is
happening around them.
12. Film songs today so captivating and
enthusing that really haunt both
children and youth, film stories at
times provide meaningful themes'.
every individual today wants to be a
hero or heroine to be noticed in their
day today life.
A film star is a role model for many of
the young today.
13. They imitate their gestures, dressing
style, way of talking and mannerisms.
Many criminals have confessed that
they committed crimes just by seeing
the movies.
It do disturb the children to take their
attention from studies.
14. The real fact is that the young people
who spend a lot of time before the TV,
or in cinema theaters and they spend
their precious time in a world of
imagination and empty dreams.
The ambitions are far from realities
and they fail to adjust themselves with
realities of life.
15. When they find that they cannot reach
their dreams they easily get
disappointed.
However cinema can help people to be
aware of the social evil such as child
labour ,caste, theft, killing, and many
more social evils.
Since the young are not motivated by the
fixed ideas they are quick to changes
and are able to bring about desired
changes in society.
16. Thus we may say the influence of
cinema on the young minds is quite
deep and strong.
As a whole if we look at the positive
side of cinema it colous their thinking.
It determines their aims, it moulds
their outlook.
17. Hence the film producers and the film
Directors have a great role to play in
making the society and the young grow
in a better environment.
The movies must show forth values and
virtues to the young children and youth.
The parents and the teachers,
professors must guide the children and
youth to choose movies which depicts
realties and noble ideas of life.
18. It is the need of the hour that children
today must learn to use media for the
good.
There is always a great fear among
the elders that the influence of media
on the young has got so much of
impact that our tradition of noble life is
slowly gives way to so called modern
life style which often questions the
realities of life.
19. It is only my hope that our young
needed to be taught to No to evil and
have strong will power to stand for truth.
I do agree it is big task for parents of
today with all modern life style to bring
up a child.
But one must understand there is no
way while you need to be strict where
you suppose to be then only you are
making a best platform for your child.
