2. We are addressing the plight of pet owners whose pets have
gone missing. Their dog could have run off while out on a
walk someday and not come back. Perhaps someone else
might have stumbled upon a dog with no owner present.
3. Even if a pet is found, the owner him/herself may not be able
to find out where it has been taken to.
4. The core question we are addressing with the app are -
Are you worried about your pet getting lost? Or have you
ever found a pet but don’t know who the owner is?
5. Accessible on the app 24/7 so that pets in need are always able to be
helped.
6. [Mini Elevator Pitch]
My team, The Sprites, is developing a mobile app
to help pet owners to find their pet if lost. This would help the
endless posts on social media of people losing pets and time
wasted searching for the pet.
7. 8/10 people interviewed said they would use the app
7/10 people interviewed lived in fife
All agreed that if there was a simple easy app to help find missing pets.
App must be simple and easy to navigate
8. Take the pet to the police although they don’t do anything.
Take it to an animal shelter won’t help much either because they will
keep the pet and not try to find the owner
9. The main features that the app needs to function are: pet
profiles, buttons, images, search bar, inbox, photo recognition.
10. Because of advice given to us by an expert and the feedback we have
gotten from our survey, we have decided to limit the area that our app
works in to Fife.
14. The content which will be images, inbox messages and
photo recognition which will be stored on a cloud.
15. The thing our app is based on is the fact that too many people who
have lost their pets have not been able to find them again. Our app
will still remain free of charge, as it is unlikely a user will be willing to
pay to use this. We do not know how we are going to fund the app.
16. Posters in pet shops
Advertisements in local newspapers
Posters in Vets
17. We made a questionnaire and we got a lot of good feedback
on that which we were happy about.
We also spoke to a couple of experts about our app.
Notas do Editor
What is the background situation you are addressing? Describe the context users are experiencing.Example: BuzzerBuddiez: Who? Students What? Students are studying for exams When? 7am Where? Student dorm Why? Late night cramming, student likely to oversleep
What specific problem do people encounter in that situation? Use the results from your user researchExamples: BuzzerBuddiez: your alarm does not work and you are thus late for: school, work, exams, doctor etc Transit: Many parents don’t speak English and their children have to translate the feedback that a teacher provides. When the feedback is negative students mistranslate. Oyster on the Go: You don’t remember how much money you have left on your pay-as-you-go Oyster card and run out of credit when you urgently need to get on a train Cattle Manager: You need to run backwards and forwards between the office and your cows, taking notes on paper and wasting time or loosing notes
What core question are you addressing with the app? Examples: BuzzerBuddiez: how can you avoid oversleeping? Transit: how can negative teacher feedback be translated accurately? Oyster on the Go: how can you be more aware of how much credit you still have on your Oyster card? Cattle Manager: how can you keep track of injections for your cows while you are out and about looking after them?
To introduce the judges to your team and the product, include your final min elevator pitch here.Example: - Buzzer Buddiez: Our team, [Buzzer Buddiez], is developing [a mobile app] to help [students] [who have studied late and are likely to oversleep because they hit snooze on their alarm clock] [to wake up on time with the help from friends and family]
