HOW IS THE COFFEE TRANSPORTED?
Coffee beans are traditionally transported to coffee roasters around the
world in large, burlap sacks made from jute fabric. Un-roasted beans can
maintain their flavor for long periods of time, they continue to be
transported in the traditional burlap coffee bag. Those 60 kg juta sacks
allow us a greater individual quality control that cannot be achieved in
WHY DO WE LOVE ESPRESSO?
Espresso is the essence of coffee. it is the base of many amazing coffee
drinks but also stands the test of time and taste when served solo. Or as a
double – doppio. Pure and intense in exactly one ounce. Espresso is the name
of a highly concentrated, bittersweet coffee originating in Italy in the
early 20th century. Translated from Italian, the word espresso refers to
the speed and single-serve nature of the coffee compared with slower and
more communal methods of brewing coffee. with our nespresso®
compatible capsules you can make the best espresso at your home and
enjoy it solo or with any coffee drink of your choice
WHY DO WE USE ARABICA BLENDS?
Coffea arabica is a species of Coffea originally indigenous to the mountains
of the southwestern highlands of Ethiopia. It is also known as the "coffee
shrub of Arabia", "mountain coffee" or "arabica coffee". Coffea arabica is
believed to be the first species of coffee to be cultivated, being grown in
southwest Ethiopia for well over 1,000 years.
It is said to produce better tasting coffee than the other major
commercially grown coffee species, Coffea canephora (robusta), because
robusta cherries contain twice as much caffeine as arabica. Caffeine itself
has a bitter taste, making robusta more bitter. C. Arabica contains less
caffeine than any other commercially cultivated species of coffee.
HOW WE ROAST OUR COFFEE?
A company with a long and prestigious history of 4 generations and
more than 130 years in the business knows the best roasting
methods according to the source. The slow roasting methods as
opposed to “turbo toasting” is what gives Caffè Vergnano an evenly
Each origin is roasted separately to perfection to accentuate the
full aroma and the quality of each and every bean. This is only
possible since Caffè Vergnano is family owned and cared for.
The individually slow roasted origins are eventually blended to
guarantee the same quality in every cup, everytime you want to
taste your espresso.
WHY OUR CAPSULES ARE ACTUALLY GREAT?
The Èspresso1882 brand was born from the desire to reinterpret the
tradition of coffee in contemporary styles to offer consumers an
authentic Italian espresso. The project, launched in September 2011 with
the introduction of the capsules intended for the large distribution, is a
unique example on the Italian market. The capsules are compatible with
the Èspresso1882 Trè coffee machines and with the Citiz, Pixie, Essenza,
Lattissima, U and Maestria coffee machines for domestic use of the
