2. Location 1- Christie Gardens Park
This is Christie Gardens Park and in this location we
will be filming the scene where the group of boys are
playing football. It is practical for us as it is next to
school, it’s suitable as the characters are a group of
boys and are likely to play football in a park like this, it
is also suitable as we can see in the background some
estates which helps establish the setting.
3. Location 2- Outside Aaron’s house
We see the white boy try and get in his house but he forgot
his key and is locked out. It is suitable for my film as it is a
pretty run down area and house which suits the realism
style of BSR, it is practical for us as it is my house and it is
easy to film there as it is not a very busy area.
4. Location 3-Street Shots
I will use areas like these for shots that take place
in the street to help convey the theme of poverty
as it looks run down and we can see graffiti and
the railings. The shots we take will be of the boy
walking home and when the Muslim boy gets beat
up. They are practical as they are close to where
we live and generally not very busy so it won’t be
hard to get some shots.
5. Location 4- Usaama’s House
For the character Usama’s house we will be using
Niamh’s house to film the scene which takes place at
his house, it is suitable for us because it is one of
our houses and it suits the social class of the Muslim
family as they are middle to lower class and the
house is of that standard. It is practical for us as it is
one of our houses and so it will be easy to film
there.
6. Comparing The Locations
All these locations keep in with the same theme of
poverty except the final location which is meant to show
some wealth but only small amounts, having most of the
locations keep in with this theme it will be easier to
establish that as one of the themes of the film.
They are all practical for us because they are close to
where we live and so getting there and filming will not
be an issue and so no complications should arise
