CONTENT CREATION IN SUNDERLAND
Intro : Over the last decade social media has become a key
part of so many people's lives, with studies suggesting that
there is a mighty 4.74 Billion Social media users, that's
59.3% of the worlds population which is absolutely insane.
With the sudden rise of social media, content creators have
appeared all over the world, and all though they all make
different types of content they're all chasing the same goal.
The chance to become a full time content creator.
So, I decided to talk about my own experience with content
creation and go into depth about what it's like to be a
content creator in Sunderland.
Segment 1 (Talking about my own experience with content
creation): Soundtrack - Homers Day
Oh well, what does we have here I guess you ran up on me.
Well I'm just scripting a video, just doing what I do in my
spare time. I guess since your still here, you might as well
here the full story.
Hi my names Elliot Daroczy I'm currently 17 years old, and my
favourite thing to do in this world is content creation.
I made my first YouTube channel when I was only 10, and I've
been going ever since because I just fell in love with it.
There is something about content creation that I really love
because it's personalized, and it's really personal to you. I
really enjoy putting my own thoughts and experiences into
content.
My original channel started as a arcade channel, I used to go
to the arcade and make claw machine videos. I then
transitioned into making Dinosaur King videos. To be honest,
I filmed a lot of things at the time because I didn't have
much of a direction.
Then I turned the channel into a Beyblade one. I started
doing AMV's then I transitioned into doing unboxings. Now
it's doing really well as a Beyblade unboxing channel. It's
currently in the YouTube partner program and it's got over
four thousand subscribers. I know that isn't much compared to
the top YouTubers, but it's good for me. Plus, being apart of
the partner program is amazing for any content creator.
The YouTube channel I am currently putting a lot of effort
into is AnonymousArcher, I just really liked the name. That
channel uses character stills to show emotions, and tell

stories. There is a few vlogs on that channel, but I
generally make discussion videos. I got the stills made for
me by a fan, his name is Tyler he lives in America. He is a
super nice guy, and it really meant a lot when he made my
character stills.
I made the character a few years ago, I was sitting in School
and decided to make an OC. A lot of people within the
discussion genre where using character character, so I
decided to make one that was a cross between a Beagle and a
Wolf. I guess year eleven me thought that was good.
But that channels going really well at the moment, and I'm
really enjoying it.
Segment 2 (Regional Identity): Soundtrack - Groove Day
Regional identity is a very interesting term because certain
people value it a lot, and they have a lot of pride and
passion about where they come from.
Meanwhile, some people don't have any pride and they hate
where they come from. So, I thought I'd do a segment where I
talk about what it's like to implement regional identity into
my content.
Personally, I like to implement regional identity into my
writing. I do journalism for A Love Supreme, and I write
about Sunderland AFC. I do previews, reviews, and articles
about what's going on at the club.
I also have an Instagram account called Anonymous_SAFC, I
made that a few years before I went to ALS and I've been
doing previews and reviews on there for a few years. I also
talk about new signings.
An example of me implementing regional identity into my
content, would be a video I made called the Truth about
England, I really like the video because it is a snappy video
about what it's like to live here.
That video shows that Regional identity is something we can
all use, because we all live somewhere. We don't always think
about that when we are planning the video.
Some people think regional identity is very important, and I
think it's an interesting point to raise. If we here someone
speaking with a certain accent, we often pick it up and
identify where they are from. We can all implement regional
identity into our content, and there is lots of paths to go
down if you where to do so.

Segment 3 (What it's like to be a content creator in
Sunderland) - Soundtrack - Hyperfun
So then, what is like to be a content creator in Sunderland.
When it comes to what it's like to be a content creator in
Sunderland, I don't really think about it too much. I don't
think it effects my content that much. I know I've made a few
videos that contain regional identity, so I guess it gives me
my own unique thing. There isn't anyone in my niche from
Sunderland.
However, in regard to the whether it enhances or restricts my
creativity, it definitely enhances my journalism. When you do
content about a football club the ideas invent themselves.
You can write about Whatever happens at the club.
I also understand why some people might say that it restricts
their creativity, because there isn't too much of note up in
Sunderland, if you don't do content about football. There
isn't too many places to create content in Sunderland.
But with the type of content I make, it doesn't really matter
because I could be making it from any room. There isn't
really too many big content creators from Sunderland, There
isn't too many big content creators from Sunderland though,
in fact I can only think of two. Carl Bradbury who has over
three hundred thousand subscribers, and former boxer Tony
Jeffries who has over one million subscribers.
However, I do think there will be more content creators from
Sunderland in the future.
Segment 4 (Creating a video in Sunderland): Soundtrack -
Better Days
So, that said I'm going to make a video in Sunderland just so
you can see what it's really like.
Vlog segment where I talk about what I'm doing, and show what
I'm taking with me.
I set off on my way to the arcade, and this basically turned
into a tour of Sunderland. I went through the bridges, went
into some shops. I cracked open the can of Doctor Pepper in
Sports Direct because I was thirsty, and then I eventually
arrived at Sunderland Bowl.

angles. I then finish the segment and transition. back to the
studio.
Segment 5 (Conclusion): Soundtrack - Chill
Well that was an experience. To be honest, there is a lot of
trial and error when it comes to content creation. I believe
this video sums it up perfectly. Especially, when you're
doing videos outside because you don't know who is around
you. Not to mention, you might not have a place to place
you're equipment.
Normally I just hold my phone in my hand, but this time I
wanted to experiment with different camera angles. If you
want some more angles, I'd advise you bring another person. A
spare pair of hands will always be a big help.
As a whole, being from Sunderland doesn't restrict my
creativity. At the end of the day I could be making some of
my videos from anywhere, because I mainly make discussion
videos. It does enhance my writing though, because I've got a
club to talk about.
However, it does impact my accent and I would be more likely
to talk about things that are local to me. However, if you've
got a good idea then it doesn't matter where you come from.
