Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory,
and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven
and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and
thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour
come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is
power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to
give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee,
and praise thy glorious name.

Here’s a thought, if prayer has to be taught then it doesn’t come naturally
Prayer helps you develop a relationship with God-Just like your parents here on earth, your Heavenly Father wants to hear from you and talk to you. When you pray, He listens. Then He answers your prayers in the form of thoughts, spiritual feelings, scripture, or even the actions of other people.
Prayer provides answers-Praying and listening to the answers God gives you can help you better understand your purpose in life. God will help you understand why you are here and what you can do to return to live with Him after this life.
Prayer gives you strength to avoid temptation-Jesus counseled His disciples, “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation” (Matthew 26:41). Through prayer, we can overcome temptations to sin. Pray for God’s help to keep you from making wrong choices. This will give you the strength to do what is right.
Prayer aligns your will with God’s will-The purpose of prayer is not necessarily to tell God how you want Him to do things. Rather, it’s to better understand Him and His ways, bringing yourself into alignment with His will. As C.S. Lewis is often attributed as saying, prayer “doesn’t change God. It changes me.”
Prayer helps you become more like Jesus-Jesus set the perfect example of prayer. If you try to follow His example through prayer, you will become more like Him and develop a better relationship with Him and Heavenly Father.
And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. PRAY
Some noticed that “for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever Amen” isn’t in this passage. It isn’t in the oldest manuscripts and was first observed as a margin note in later manuscripts. It is biblical however
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. This statement expresses the paradox of God’s rule which will be consummated with the Second Coming but present now in the lives of true disciples.
On earth as in heaven
Give us this day our daily
“this day” God wants His children to live by faith in Him daily. One OT example was that the manna was given daily (cf. Ex. 16:13–21). In the Middle East bread is baked early every day and either eaten or dried hard by nightfall. Today’s bread will not do for tomorrow.
