● In the last 4 years in Brazil there was
– More than 480 papers presented in different
conferences about cloud (not included papers in
journals)
– These papers where in more than 130 conferences


Scientific applications have a very specific problem domains.

Migration requires a high level knowlegde of application .

Applications developed without version control or comments creates a
bottleneck in migration (legacy code)


● Considering the evolution on the research and use of cloud
in Brazil, it is time to create a SIG
● Considering that cloud is a tool, a resource, used by many
different areas, the SIG needs to attend all of them
