Guy Kawasaki, a successful entrepreneur and author, identifies empathy, honesty, and humility as the three most important leadership skills. Empathy means understanding others' perspectives in order to support their needs. Honesty builds trust through transparency, especially during difficulties. Humility involves admitting mistakes and valuing feedback to appear approachable as a leader.

Why empathy is an important
leadership trait:
Leaders need to understand the needs of the people following them
in order to be effective. Understand that empathy is not the same as
sympathy. Empathy means that you’re able to appreciate what
someone else is going through.
This is an extremely important leadership trait because when you
truly understand the needs of your people, you can provide the
support they need to succeed; which ultimately leads to greater
productivity and collaboration.

crucial step in building trust, credibility and a positive reputation as
a leader. You need the people you’re to leading trust you or else
everything else you do will fail.

It’s simple, people follow people they like. Some narcissistic leaders
can find a following, but leaders who remain humble and down to
earth are the ones who are loved and celebrated.
Leaders should seek out feedback and focus on the needs of others.
You need to be open to people’s feedback and criticisms and know
how to admit that you’re not perfect and when you make mistakes.
Why humility is an important
leadership trait:
