3. NATURE OF WORK – OIL FIELDS
Installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment, such
as,6.6KV switchgear, LV Transformer & switchgear,MCC s.&
refurbishment of existing switchgears and Upgrading of ABB Protection
REM545&REF545 Relays for Feeder & Motor.
• Maintenance troubleshooting and diagnosis of problem in all electrical
equipment of high voltage starter (VCB,ACB,MOCB,BOCB) Motor control
center, power control center switch gear up to 11kv and protection relay
of I/C panel and outgoing feeders .
• Maintenance of Package substation having 11 kV ring main system, 11 kV
& 3.3 kV Power transformer and its protection system upstream and
downstream feeder protection system, Transformer in S/S 7500 KVA -11
kV /3.3 kV, 2600KVA-3.3 kV /457V. Preventive maintenance of vacuum
circuit breaker ACB, SF6 breaker and 3.3 kV Vacuum circuit contactor for
crude export and booster pumps motor.
• Testing of Transformer, incoming /outgoing feeder’s protection relays and
switch gear, motor, generator Protection relay with the secondary
injection kit. Carry out the cable DC high voltage test cable route locator /
fault locator, burnout test kit and testing the transformer oil BDV.
• Maintenance troubleshooting and setting of limit and torque switches of
MOV (OR) EOV (Limit torque, rotor and auma) and MOV control wiring.
Operation and maintenance of all type of electrical work in desalter and
tank farm, processing area.
• Operation and maintenance of diesel generator with auto mains failure
system and PLC control system. Battery and compressor air starting diesel
generator up to 3.3 kV, 2000 KVA and its protection relay both upstream
and downstream. Periodic Checking maintenance of engine lube oil,
engine water heaters, generator cooling system, and steam turbine
generator 400KVA with excitation control system for synchronous motor.
Function and setting of generator ATS Panel and generation synchronize.
• Maintenance of earth electrodes and equipment earthing, cathodic
protection of fire water pipeline and grid earthing for tanks. Periodic

4. maintenance of measuring the soil to pipeline voltage and current in CCU
(Current control unit) .
• Laying of Power and control cable (on duct (or) direct to ground) both
high and low voltage, cables glanding and termination. Laying of heat
tracing cable in condensate to Pipe lines and termination.
• Periodic checking and maintenance of fire and gas Panel and mimic Panel
in CCR system and device (smoke detector, heat detector, gas detector)
• Erection, testing and commissioning of 3.3 kV switch gear panel and
motor 300 HP including auto start wiring modification.
• Explosion proof installation, distribution of Power and lighting networks,
overhead crane system, testing and maintenance.
• Erection and commissioning of 20 Tons overhead crane in Kuwait refinery
MAB ware house.
• LT and HT induction motor up to 3.3KV – 1600 HP ,11KV synchronous
motor 11000 HP (NEI-Pebble make)
• Experienced with 5 Ton boiler 5 no`s and refinery air , nitrogen
compressor, steam turbine compressor, water treatment plant and ship
loading pump ,IRT Pump house.
• Maintenance of 132/11KV, 11/3.3KV Power transformer 13.8KV ring main
system in power house and frequency converter 50 to 60 Hz.
• Erection of two 500KVA 440V DG sets, operation and maintenance of
1450KVA, DG-11KV make SKL, alternator-AVK Germany.
• Erection and commissioning of cruser, tripper machines cable laying and
internal electrical control panel board wiring.
Over all erection & Commissioning of flame proof, weather proof and
increased safety equipments in plant areas.

5. RESPONSIBILITY
• Preparation and submission of daily and monthly activities and time
sheets etc.
• Reporting of electrical equipment and instrument defects, abnormal
sounds to senior and take possible corrective action.
• Daily reporting to shift activities to Engr and maintaining log book various
registers.
• Planning & Distribution of maintenance personnel in the area as directed
by company representative.
• Planning of preventive maintenance activities and preparing failure &trip
reports.
• Familiar with handling of safety equipments H2S detector, gas tester,
breathing apparatus, fire detection system and fire extinguishers.
• Be aware of safety rules and regulations, emergency response, and all
safety precautions relevant to plant facilities.
