ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 Instrumental in the comprehensive review and re-writing of new liquor laws and regulations in both
Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
 Successfully lobbied for the re-writing of a key public health regulation from a process-based regulation,
which was preventing a major new restaurant market entrant from operating as they did in other market
places, to an outcome-based regulation. This resulted in substantial savings for the operator without
impacting public safety.
 Led the development of Manitoba Employers’ Council’s red tape reduction report and spearheaded lobbying
efforts to ensure successive governments supported both the specific recommendations and the principles
outlined – several of which are now being adopted as government policy.
