In this PPT the detail about the various jobs available in Veterinary Sector is described in details. Students can aware different fields (both Academic and field as well as private sector) in Veterinary science. Students after graduation in Veterinary Science can choose army / paramilitary line also. The Veterinarians also have scope in industries like Feed Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Vaccine Producing industries, Veterinary technicians, and Dairy consultants. Veterinary Science has a great scope in the following sectors in our country: 1. Animal Husbandry Department- The graduates and postgraduates in veterinary science can work in the government animal husbandry department as veterinarians, animal surgeons, animal breeders, etc. 2. Poultry Sector- They can work as veterinary doctors in the poultry sector to make sure that the animals are safe, no disease is spread, and their health is maintained. 3. Dairy Sector- They again work for the well-being and maintenance of the livestock as it contributes to the major economy of the country. They can work as dairy surgeons, pathologists, nutritionists, etc. 4. Wildlife Reserves/ Zoological Parks- They can work as Veterinary dentists, surgeons, inspectors, etc., in this sector to make sure that the protected animals are fine health-wise. 5. Veterinary Hospitals- In this sector, they can work as VETs and look after the animals enthusiastically. It isn’t confined to a particular type of animal or breed, rather they have to treat and cure every animal that is being brought to the hospital. 6. Universities/ Colleges- They can work as professors or lecturers and teach students whatever knowledge they have gained about veterinary science. 7. Laboratories- They can work as scientists or research associates and carry out all the experiments and tests regarding the well-being of animals.
