Life without a pandemic
Main area of activity:
The main area I will be focusing on in this project will be film.
Rationale:
My progress so far has improved to a certain extent, at the beginning of the year I didn’t know
anything about film making or anything media related expect how to take pictures with camera as I
had one aside from that I think with doing Creative Media has helped me be able to think about
making and forming a project on deeper and professional level. What I mean about that is doing a
range of projects had helped me have some experience with what it is like to work in media and
the other possible careers I could pursue in if photography isn’t what I want to do anymore.
Project Concept:
My target audience will be from the ages 16-20s but anyone can watch it.
My music video is going to involve a mini skit at the beginning and at the end of the music video
and in that skit, it will be talking about the how much the pandemic has put our lives as teenagers
on pause. Then in the skit someone will turn on the TV and the music video will begin, and it will
be showing life if there wasn’t a pandemic going on. It will convey fun out of there activities we
could be doing right now, very random as it is very fitting to the song choice Marlboro Nights by
Lonely God as this song only last around 2 minutes, song is very upbeat, some may say it is
chaotic. The song from start to finish is really catchy which I really liked about the song and
thought it was good song track to make a music video about now living life after leaving high
school and the potential exciting memories most teenagers leaving high school could’ve had and
showing how life should’ve been now starting a new chapter of our life and moving further into
adulthood. Having that as my concept for my music video the type of research I will be doing
watching and reading articles about how to make a music video and yes, I have had experience
with making one before which I do have some what of an idea to make one, I will be just looking
into detail into making my music video look better. I will also be researching and trying out potential
effects for my music video and will be trying to advance my editing skills by trial and error and this
will make my music video more alike an actual music video.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I will evaluate my own work unbiased and will be comparing with other FMP music videos and also
professional music videos. With that I will be analysing what was good about my music videos and
the other music videos and see what I could’ve improved on. And I will also be comparing my end
product to my planning and see I was able to fulfil my ideas and planning.
I will be asking for feedback from my audience and fellow classmates.
