Subject: Reference for Mr. Dimitris Valsamaras
I have known Mr. Dimitris Valsamaras during the last year in my capacity as a Member of the
Teaching Staff at the Hellenic Open University where I teach “Modern Networks and Services” at the
Department of Computer Science, School of Science & Technology. According to the study program,
during one academic season the students undertake 5 projects that are delivered as written reports
and they also give a final examination.
The performance of Dimitris in my subject was excellent. He acquired the top grade among his class
as an average over all 5 projects previously mentioned, that is 9.6 (out of 10). Moreover, at the final
examination he achieved the second best grade, receiving 8.9.
Besides his grades, he was always an active participant in class discussions, willing to analyze
problems and obtain deeper knowledge, able to search in various sources of information while he
could easily understand the concept of a project and provide accurate answers. Driven by his
ambitious personality, I strongly believe that Dimitris can be easily embodied in a new academic or
business environment.
Concluding, I would highly recommend Mr. Dimitris Valsamaras either for a graduate program or an
