A mental illness is a physical illness of the brain
Causes disturbances in thinking, behavior, energy or emotion
Associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social,
work or family activities
Causes of these diseases include genetics, brain chemistry,
brain structure, experiencing trauma or having another
medical condition, like heart disease.
