Steven Paul Jobs was an American business magnate, industrial designer,
investor, and media proprietor. He was the chairman, chief executive
officer (CEO), and co-founder of Apple Inc., the chairman and majority
shareholder of Pixar, a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of
directors following its acquisition of Pixar, and the founder, chairman,
and CEO of NeXT. Jobs is widely recognized as a pioneer of the personal
computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s, along with Apple co-
founder Steve Wozniak.
4. CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY
• Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco. Jobs was
adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs from her biological mother Joanne on
the condition that later they will send him to college. Paul and Clara
named the boy Steven Paul.
• Steve was a turbulent child. He really didn't care about school for
sometime until he reached the 4th grade, and had Imogen “Teddy” Hill
as a teacher. He quickly became hooked so much that he skipped the
5th grade and went straight to middle school.
5. EDUCATION
Jobs enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. After just one
semester, he dropped out of College without telling his parents.
Jobs later explained that he decided to drop out because he did
not want to spend his parents' money on an education that seemed
meaningless to him. He continued to attend by auditing his classes,
which included a course on calligraphy. Later this calligraphy
course proved a landmark in designing Apple’s beautiful
typography.
6. "If I had never dropped in on that single
calligraphy course in college, the Mac
would have never had multiple typefaces
or proportionally spaced fonts."
7. CAREERS
Steve and Apple
Steve Jobs co-founded Apple in his parents' home on Crist Drive in Los Altos,
California. Jobs proposed the name “Apple Computer” when he had just come
back from Robert Friedland’s All-One Farm in Oregon. Apple Computer Company
was founded on April 1, 1976, by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne as a
business partnership
9. Downfall & Parting from Apple

members of Apple met on May 28th, 1985 and each voted on the
removal of Steve from the company . He left the company after
losing a bitter battle over control with Apple’s CEO John Sculley.
10. Steve Later Said:-
“I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired
from Apple was the best thing that could have ever
happened to me. The heaviness of being successful
was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner
again, less sure about everything. It freed me to
enter one of the most creative periods of my life”.
11. Starting all over again
• Steve decided to start his own company and founded NeXT computer
in 1989. NeXT turned a profit for the first time in 1992. NeXT software
needed to be made more reliable and compatible for consumers.

stock deal . Following Pixar shareholder approval, the acquisition
was completed in 2006 and then the PIXAR merged with Disney.
