7. IELTS Listening Test
Listening test is same for both modules and it is about
30 minutes and will have 40 questions. It involves
candidate has to listen recorded text which include
conversation and monologues. It consists of four
sections.
Section 1: Conversation between two persons about
non academic topic.
Section 2: A single person’s talk about non academic
topic.
Section 3: Conversation among the people on
academic issue.
Section 4: Consists of a lecture by a professor.

8. IELTS Reading Test

General reading test are different but types of

reading test consists of 3 sections and 40
questions about 60 minutes.
IELTS reading test consists of three reading
passages with tasks which are taken from
books, magazines, newspapers and
advertisements.
In Academic Module passages include non verbal
material like diagrams, graphs or illustrations.
General Module contains one long general topic
and two work related passages.

9. IELTS Writing Test
The writing test contains two tasks for
Academic and General Modules. It consists of
40 questions about 60 minutes.
Academic Module has two sections.
Task 1: The candidate needs to explain
about a table or graph or diagram about 150
words.

essay about 250 words.
General Module also has two sections.
Task 1: Letter writing about 150 words
