Product:
Flange bolt:
Flange bolts have a circular flange under the head that acts like a washer to distribute the load. Flange
bolts that are non-serrated are sometimes called frame bolts..Flange bolts: This type of connection is
called a bolted connection. If the nut is unscrewed from the bolt, the two parts can be separated, so
that the bolt.
Combination screw:
Bolts are typically used to create bolted joints, which is a combination of the nut applying a clamping
force, pinning the joint sideways. This is why many bolts have an unthreaded shank — it creates for a
stronger and more effective dowel. Therefore, unthreaded shanks have long been a defining
characteristic of bolts when comparing them to their screw counterparts.
12. 12
Engine faster:
Steel fasteners are usually made of high grade stainless steel wire or rod. Steel
automotive fasteners are used in door panels, small engine parts, airbag housings, among many
other parts of a vehicle. Automotive fasteners include nuts, bolts, screws, retainers, spring clips
or washers.
Wheel hub bolt:
Wheel studs are the threaded fasteners that hold on the wheels of many automobiles. They are
semi-permanently mounted directly to the vehicle hub, usually through the brake drum or brake
disk. Many automobiles instead use bolts to do this, where removable bolts screw into the wheel.
Hing pin:
A jointed or flexible device that allows the turning or pivoting of a part, such as a door or lid, on a station
ary frame. A similar structure or part, such as one that enables the valves of a bivalve mollusk to open a
nd close. A small folded paper rectangle gummed on one side, used especially to fasten stamps in an alb
um A point or circumstance on which subsequent events depend. Hinged, hinging, hinges
13. 13
Wheel nut bolt:
Wheel studs are the threaded fasteners that hold on the wheels of many automobiles. Lug nuts are
fastened onto the wheel stud to secure the wheel. When a wheel is removed for tire changes etc., the
stud remains in the hub. Many automobiles instead use bolts to do this, where removable bolts screw
into the wheel hub.

Company strategy:
PPC (PRODUCTION PALNNIN AND CONTROL) IN PRODUCTION:
PRE PLANING;
PRE PLANNING ,UNDER THE phase of production planning basic ground work on the product design ,
layout design an work flow are prepared the operation related to the availability scope & capacity of
men machine many material time are estimated.
Planning:
this is the phase where a complete analysis eN routing ,estimating and scheduling is done . its also tries
to find cut the area of concern for short time& long time , so that prominent planning can be proceed.
Control:
The function included is dispatching, follow up, inspection and evolution. it tries to analyze the
expedition of work in progress . This is one of the important phases of the production planning and
control.
A copy of daily production planning of the company at 10/11/2018:

Production process:
Forging:
Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using
localized compressive forces. The blows are delivered with a hammer (often a power hammer) or
a die. Forging is often classified according to the temperature at which it is performed: cold
forging (a type of cold working), warm forging, or hot forging (a type of hot working). For the
latter two, the metal is heated, usually in a forge. Forged parts can range in weight from less than
a kilogram to hundreds of metric tons. Forging has been done by smiths for millennia; the
traditional products were kitchenware, hardware, hand tools, edged weapons, cymbals,
and jewellery.
Trimming
Trimming is a manufacturing process that is used as a finishing operation for forged parts, in
order to remove flash. Most often it is desirable to perform this operation while the work is still
hot for maximum efficiency; therefore it is usually incorporated into the
larger production process.
Pointing
Define quality control check points to be used for testing the product quality at any point in the
production process .Quality Control Point is a point or stage of manufacturing where it is
essential to control (reduce or eliminate) a risk to avoid down time .For example, checking the
temperature of oil every three hours. There is the ability to set the frequency and list required
tasks and accountable personnel.
Drilling :
Drilling is a cutting process that uses a drill bit to cut a hole of circular cross-section in solid
materials. The drill bit is usually a rotary cutting tool, often multi-point. The bit
is pressed against the work-piece and rotated at rates from hundreds to thousands of revolutions
per minute. This forces the cutting edge against the work-piece, cutting off chips (swarf) from
the hole as it is drilled.
In rock drilling, the hole is usually not made through a circular cutting motion, though the bit is
usually rotated. Instead, the hole is usually made by hammering a drill bit into the hole with
quickly repeated short movements.
Heat treatment:
Heat treating (or heat treatment) is a group of industrial and metalworking processes used to alter
the physical, and sometimes chemical, properties of a material. The most common application
is metallurgical. Heat treatments are also used in the manufacture of many other materials, such
as glass. Heat treatment involves the use of heating or chilling, normally to extreme temperatures, to
achieve the desired result such as hardening or softening of a material. Heat treatment techniques
include annealing, case hardening, precipitation strengthening, tempering, carburizing,
16. 16
normalizing and quenching. It is noteworthy that while the term heat treatment applies only to
processes where the heating and cooling are done for the specific purpose of altering properties
intentionally, heating and cooling often occur incidentally during other manufacturing processes
such as hot forming or welding.

1 Single-Component Polymer Membranes. The unique structural features of electro spun nanofibers,
such as thinner fiber diameter, smaller pore size, and higher porosity than other fibrous air filters,
including melt-blown fibers, spun bonded fibers, and glass fibers, make them fascinating candidates
for air filtration.

Various commands are available for mirroring and creating opposite-hand versions of items such
as sketch entities, features, parts, and assembly components. A vehicle side rear-view mirror
assembly that has a structure for exposing a blind spot. The assembly includes a mirror housing
mounted on a vehicle; a support frame fixedly mounted on the vehicle; a backing plate movably
connected to the support frame; a mirror glass; connecting rods which connect the mirror glass to
the backing plate wherein the mirror glass is pivoted on the connecting rods about a rotating axis
defined by the connecting rods; and a motion actuator mounted on the backing plate for rotating
the mirror glass about the rotating axis. The assembly further includes a two-motor powered
adjustment structure for adjusting an orientation of the backing plate in which the two-motor
powered adjustment structure is fixedly mounted on the support frame.
Production process:
Raw material:
the basic material from which a product is made. These ships bring the raw materials for the ever-
expanding automobile industry. It is important to integrate and synchronize all the functions that
23. 23
must be performed in order to convert raw materials into finished products. Raw materials are
materials that are in their natural state, before they are processed or used in manufacturing.
Molding:
Molding or moulding is the process of manufacturing by shaping liquid or pliable raw material
using a rigid frame called a mold or matrix. This itself may have been made using a pattern or
model of the final object. A mold or mould is a hollowed-out block that is filled with a liquid or
pliable material such as plastic, glass, metal, or ceramic raw material. The liquid hardens or sets
inside the mold, adopting its shape. A mold is the counterpart to a cast. The very common bi-valve
molding process uses two molds, one for each half of the object. Articulated moulds have multiple
pieces that come together to form the complete mold, and then disassemble to release the finished
casting; they are expensive, but necessary when the casting shape has complex overhangs. Piece-
molding uses a number of different molds, each creating a section of a complicated object. This is
generally only used for larger and more valuable objects.
Quality control:
Quality control (QC) is a process by which entities review the quality of all factors involved in
production. ISO 9000 defines quality control as "A part of quality management focused on
fulfilling quality requirements".[
This approach places emphasis on three aspects (enshrined in standards such as ISO 9001):
1. Elements such as controls, job management, defined and well managed
processes, performance and integrity criteria, and identification of records
2. Competence, such as knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications
3. Soft elements, such as personnel, integrity, confidence, organizational
culture, motivation, team spirit, and quality relationships.
Inspection is a major component of quality control, where physical product is examined visually
(or the end results of a service are analyzed). Product inspectors will be provided with lists and
descriptions of unacceptable product defects such as cracks or surface blemishes for example.
Paint shop :
Paint is any pigmented liquid, liquefiable, or mastic composition that, after application to
a substrate in a thin layer, converts to a solid film. It is most commonly used to protect, color, or
provide texture to objects. Paint can be made or purchased in many colors—and in many
different types, such as watercolor or synthetic. Paint is typically stored, sold, and applied as a
liquid, but most types dry into a solid.
Sticker:
The only thing that might work is if you remove the dirt off the sticky side of the sticker. If they
are peeling then you will notice that on the sticker it has gained some dirt or fluff on the
24. 24
underside, try and scrape it off and just see what happens; it might stick down again.
Another possible route is re-sticking them yourself, I wouldn't recommend this as you may want
to replace the stickers in the future. If you were to replace them, which I suggest you do, buy the
stickers off CubeSmith.com, they have by far the best quality at an amazing price.
Assembly:
An assembly line is a manufacturing process in which parts are added as the semi-finished
assembly moves from workstation to workstation where the parts are added in sequence until the
final assembly is produced. By mechanically moving the parts to the assembly work and moving
the semi-finished assembly from work station to work station, a finished product can be
assembled faster and with less labor than by having workers carry parts to a stationary piece for
assembly. Assembly lines are common methods of assembling complex items such
as automobiles and other transportation equipment, household appliances and electronic goods.
Packaging:
Packaging is the science, art and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution,
storage, sale, and use. Packaging also refers to the process of designing, evaluating, and
producing packages. Packaging can be described as a coordinated system of preparing goods for
transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use. Packaging contains, protects, preserves,
transports, informs, and sells.[1] In many countries it is fully integrated into government,
business, institutional, industrial, and personal use.
