2. Get Logged In
Logging on to the network:
Username: your last name followed by the last four digits of your BTC SID
lastname1234
Password: btc - your 8 digit birthday

3. Reset Your Password
Go to the BTC Homepage: http://www.btc.ctc.edu/
Click on the tab at the top of the page
Choose the “Computer and email Password Reset” link: http://www.btc.ctc.edu/PasswordReset
Fill out the password reset form (your “pin” is your six digit birthday)
Note that your password must contain at least:
8 characters
one number
one letter
one of the special characters indicated
4. What Does the Password Reset
Form Change?
Using the password reset form will reset:
Your network password
Your BTC email password
Your SharePoint password
Your MyBTC Portal password
5. Set Up Your Email
Go to the BTC Homepage: http://www.btc.ctc.edu/
Choose the tab at the top of the page.
Select the “Student Email” link.
Here you will find instructions for logging in

6. BTC Email Username & Password
Your email username is:
Your last name followed by the last four digits of your BTC SID followed by @beltc.ctc.edu
lastname1234@beltc.ctc.edu
Your email password is:
btc – your 8 digit birthday

7. Find Your Online Classes
Go to the BTC Homepage: http://www.btc.ctc.edu/
Click on the tab at the top of the page
Choose the “Canvas Login” link
Username: Your full BTC SID number

Password: The first 6 letters of your last name (if your last name is shorter than 6 letters, start
spelling it again – Smith = smiths)

Microsoft Word is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, and is available on all networked computers
on campus. You can also access it through Remote Desktop, and there is an abbreviated version
available through OneDrive, a cloud tool associated with your BTC Email account.
