 Significant geomatics growth in SNSMR particularly
around its product lines & service offerings.
 An increased need to maintain, prioritize & enhance
assets (applications, utilities, tools) within the
constraints of fixed resources, to meet the demands
from its consumers.
 Ensure processes are optimized & investments in
assets are not lost.

4. Project Outcomes
 SNSMR in conjunction with SEG developed a two tiered
“criteria-driven geomatics asset evaluation process.”
 We now have process, tools and a quantitative approach
for better control & management our geomatics assets
(tools, applications, utilities & related datasets).

 Improved & informed decision-making around how
assets are supported, enhanced, & managed.
 Because of this project we can now:
 support effective portfolio management (geomatics).
 define strategic application development paths.
 define strategic resource planning in geomatics service
delivery.
