The document discusses the author's desire to pursue their dreams and build their own business rather than settle into a routine job. The author recalls watching their mother tired from job to job and vowing not to do the same. They argue schools teach skills to get jobs but not how to be financially independent through entrepreneurship. Building one's dreams through a business would create jobs and entrepreneurs rather than just employees and help fix declining job markets. The author concludes schools don't teach how to be an entrepreneur and the best way to create a better life is through self-education to build passion-based businesses and dreams.
2. “I am different from everyone else. I just need the chance to show it.
When I was a little kid, I had so much to dream about and I could not wait to be a grown
up so I could do what I dreamed about. Unfortunately, when that time came, I got sucked
into the workforce and find it hard to get back to the intense dreamer I once was.”
4. I remember watching my mother going
from job to job, always tired. Watching that,
I swore to myself that I would not settle
into a job that I did not enjoy.
I still have that feeling to this day.
5. The idea of settling for something
that is honestly beneath you and
does not allow you to answer to a
higher calling in your life is
nothing less than despicable…
..and it makes me sick to my
stomach just thinking about the
idea.
7. Who else is tired of being sick and tired?
Having no time to do anything because
our job controls most of our lives…
8. I mean, we can’t take a vacation without worrying because
we are so tied down by what bills we have to pay off.
In order to survive in the real world,
we have to have a job to pay our bills.
9. Is this what all that schooling we went through was for?
Settling into the real world so that we can do the same routine until we die?
I guess so, since they do not teach us how to be financially free
and having our time all to ourselves.
11. In school, what is usually the end result?
They teach us skills that will help us get a job in the real world.
12. In college, they teach us to be valuable in whatever field we choose but
what jobs can you get in a declining job market?
13. In college, they teach us to be valuable in whatever field we choose but
what jobs can you get in a declining job market?
People with master degrees are doing one of two things:
working for minimum wage or working entry-level in their field.
They teach us how to get a job, but I have to ask this question.
14. Why are they not teaching us
how to operate a business?
15. Why are they teaching us to build
someone else’s dream when they can be
teaching us how to build our dreams?
16. Building our dreams not only secures us with financial and time freedom, but that
would start to fix this job market little by little.
17. With more people starting to operate
their own business, there would be
more jobs.
Right or wrong?
18. On the flip side of that, maybe that wouldn’t create
more jobs.
21. In my opinion, I do feel like more jobs would be created
with more business owners because in society, there
will always be a balance of people who want to operate
a business and people who want to work in a business.
23. You want to be different from everyone else?
You already are.
24. You have dreams that need to be a reality.
Do you know why we need to reach our dreams?
Do you know why it is so important that we become something
greater?
