Technology Integration Made Easy & Simple Danita Russell – ITF Lee County Schools Volume 2, Issue 2 October 2007 [email_address] As the weather cools, Fall has finally made it’s way into our lives. The drought continues, but hopefully relief will come soon. Now that we are getting ready for the 8 th grade computer test, I’ll use this month’s newsletter to focus on preparing our students. We have to join together in order for all our students to be successful on this important test. I hope you find ways to integrate the ideas I give you into your daily lessons. Technology isn’t something you fit in; it should be used to enhance what you are already doing in your classes. Workshops are being held every Tuesday and Thursday this year. Make sure you try to come to some. We’re learning some great tools! West Lee will be holding their PASS night November 8 th. Again, I will be presenting Internet Safety tips. We had great participation last year and look for even more this year. Here are the details: The K-12 Online Conference invites participation from educators around the world interested in innovative ways Web 2.0 tools and technologies can be used to improve learning. This FREE conference run by volunteers and open to everyone. The 2007 conference theme is “Playing with Boundaries”. This year’s conference begins with a pre-conference keynote David Warlick the week of October 8, 2007.
