• Competition played all year round
• October – December
• February – June
• Three women’s leagues
• Umpires mostly provided by the teams

Officials in Dutch lacrosse:
• Umpires are officials for women’s games
• Referees for men’s games
• Four umpires on each game
• All umpires need to be certified
• Certification is done by the NLB
• The umpires committee is in charge of certification
