  2. 2. Arena I want to work in the Sports Field Particularly as a Play- By-Play guy or even a color commentator or Analyst Sports Communications Area I would like to work in The Midwest Region in the United States
  3. 3. Identity I am Dakota Locker My Work Ethic and my strive to be great is what separates me My Willingness to cooperate I am a human, I get mistakes, I get errors, I get things that happen that constantly make life harder My ability to stay on task and not let anything distract me when I am working on it.
  4. 4. Skills Interpersonal Skills: I believe I excel in this necessary skill because I am very people-friendly and I can get along with just about anybody, it takes a lot for me not to like you as a person. Communication: I am a very good communicator, also I believe that I have to be a very good communicator for my job in the Sportscasting Field, it is basically required. Learning: In my field especially, you have to be a student of the game, you have to be a student in the broadcasting field, when it comes to taking advice or taking notes on other people that you learn from and just knowing that you have to take all that you can. Adaptability: You have to have interpersonal skills, communication, and learning are all-important skills in today’s workplace they are so essential in todays workplace and I believe I am very adaptable when it comes to my schedule and what I can do for the company I work for.

Profession I call games, I tell people what i see, and try to make them have a way better understanding of what they are watching in the specific sport that I am doing, and that they are tuning into view. I try to make them feel more comfortable watching and talking about the sport that I am covering. I do it differently because I try to make it feel like it’s a conversation. I try to appear like I am a regular guy, which I am who is just like the viewer
  6. 6. Credentials Why are you credible? What makes you trustworthy to your future employer, customers, or clients? Manage Commitments. I believe that I am very reliable, I don’t say yes to everyone. On the contrary, I know I am because reliable people use discretion when they make promises to others. However, most people unlike me tend to slip on their commitments because they overestimate their available free time and want to please others. Proactively Communicate. I Avoid surprises. If I make a promise that I know I can't meet because of truly terrible and unforeseen circumstances, I let the person know as soon as possible.
  7. 7. Promise WHAT PROMISE WILL YOU MAKE TO YOUR FUTURE EMPLOYER, CUSTOMERS, OR CLIENTS? WHAT PROBLEM(S) DO YOU SOLVE? HOW DO YOU KNOW THESE PROBLEMS EXIST IN THE MARKETPLACE? A MATTER OF TRUST: AS EVERY EMPLOYEE, EMPLOYER, OR MANAGER, OR EVEN CEO SHOULD KNOW, TRUST IS A HUGE FACTOR, WHEN IT COMES TO THE WORK PLACE. I PROMISE TO BE A TRUSTWORTHY, HARDWORKING EMPLOYEE, WHO IS DETERMINED TO EXCEL IN MY JOB FIELD. ELIMINATE THE WAIT FOR CUSTOMERS, IF THERE IS ONE THING I HAVE LEARNED IN BEING A CONSUMER, AND I AM EVEN GUILTY OF THIS, BUT CONSUMERS HATE WAITING FOR ANYTHING, CLOTHES, FOOD, GAS, THEY HATE WAITING IN LINE FOR ANY OF IT.

Positioning My proposition must be so strong that it can move the mass millions, my goal and mission statement, should try and be world changing, and very unique to when they hear what I say, they are so blown away, that they are just like, we will never forget how he spoke and how he pitched himself and his ideas to us. 2. The proposition must be one that the competition either cannot, or does not, offer, back to my former point, it has to be very unique and you have to stand out in more ways than one.
  9. 9. Audience The employers and customers that need to know me, are the whole workforce of all sports media and sports platforms employees. Specifically ESPN, Fox Sports, and CBS Sports, but more companies would include, MLB Network, NBA Network, and NFL Network. All of these companies want more than just a sports encyclopedia for their employees, they want intelligent employees that have amazing writing, and communication skills.
  10. 10. Networking & Marketing How will you gain the attention of your future employer, customers, or clients? How can you create a strong relationship with your audience? What type of content will you publish online to provide value to your audience? What industry events will you attend and why? Make a Presentation There are certain jobs for which a presentation is a more appropriate application piece than others. If I want to try and apply to be a consultant, trainer or researcher, I may want to consider including a presentation as part of your application package. I could Record and send a two- to three-minute video to an employer can be effective if the company and type of job you're applying to warrants it. Also, it would show them the ways of my work, and everything I am about.

Competitors Most of my Competition is in this field, is in the same program of The Dan Patrick School Of Sportscasting, because it is the only program in the whole United States with this certain type of degree program. So most of my competition will honestly be from my own school. I believe I am more driven and more well-rounded in my skills than these people are, as I can virtually call almost any sport on the planet. Like Wyatt Wells a School of Sportscasting student, who is graduating a couple months before me from Full Sail University with a bachelors degree of science in Sportscasting.
  12. 12. Professional and Devlopment I need to improve my speaking skills and my functionally ways in a workplace, I feel like I need to get just a little more comfortable in the workplace and then I feel like I would be good. I will seek a mentor that has been here, and knows exactly what he is doing, and is very willing to help young people in the workforce that’s in the same field out. I want someone who truly wants to help me grow in this business in more ways than one. I need to dedicate quite a bit of time to these improvements if I want to be successful in this business and grow as a whole with my brand and everything.
  13. 13. Goals I want to let people know I am serious with this, and I'm ready to learn and grow as a whole, I'm ready to get my hands dirty and get in the field of Sportscasting and just show people that I am for real with all of this. Yes I am always seeking to grow my brand and grow my personal brand awareness, and improve my professional image so people respect me and they know that I am real and I mean business. I will grow my LinkedIn account by 10% in the next month.
