HYPOTHESIS
GENERAL OBJECTIVES 
# Objective 
1 Define a methodology to support during the energy efficiency refurbishment of 
historical buildings constructed between 1870 and 1930 in the East Extension of 
Brussels, based on the outcomes of the REH 
2 This methodology will be generalizable to all the buildings belonging to the same

GENERAL OBJECTIVES # Objective 1 Define a methodology to support during the energy efficiency refurbishment of historical buildings constructed between 1870 and 1930 in the East Extension of Brussels, based on the outcomes of the REH 2 This methodology will be generalizable to all the buildings belonging to the same DS²BE Doctoral Seminar on Sustainability Research in the Built Environment 30/04/2014 typology. 3 The methodology must be extensible to be reused in any building typology 4 The methodology must include a continuous improvement process to adjust and to adapt the methodology by using the results and the feedback obtained from the experience.
