4. TYPE OF HYPERTENSION
There are two types of hypertension:
Primary: High blood pressure that is not related to another medical
condition
Secondary: Another medical condition that causes high blood
pressure, usually occurring in the kidneys, arteries, heart, or
endocrine system.
Examples include:Sleep problems like sleep apnea ,
Blocked renal arteries in the kidneys
5. EPIDEMIOLOGY
In India 23% man and 22% woman over 25 years old suffer from
hypertension. I'm recent studies show that for every known person with
hypertension . In India it is estimated that 16%. of Ischemic heart
disease 21% peripheral vascular disorder, 24% of MI ( Myocardium
Infraction) ,29% of stroke are attributed of hypertension.
ETIOLOGY
The exact cause of high B.P. is unknown but several factor may play a
role for its development like smoking ,salt consumption, Age and sex
,sleep apnea,over weight, Alcohol consumption, genetic ,stress.
6. COMPLICATION
Excessive pressure on artery wall cause by high B.p can damage blood
vessels as well as organ of human body. Hypertension increases the risk
for a variety of cardiovascular disorder includes stroke, coronary artery
disease ,heart failure and peripheral vascular disease
7. RENIN ANGIOTENSIN SYSTEM
The kidney is master organ to regulate /control the B.P in our body.
