● The Admin role is a journey, one filled with constant learning/growth.
● You will gravitate/learn certain skills above others.
● Experience/Trailhead are two of the best teachers to learn the skills.
● Mentorship around these areas will help you greatly.
● If you’re just starting out … don’t worry. You’ll get there!
Above all, remember … this is a long list of skills. Nobody is expecting you
to learn them all overnight. Instead, take a bit of time to build up good and
healthy habits as an Admin. Do that, and your skills will naturally grow.

The Three Skills I Recommend Prioritising
User Management
● Users will need support.
● Lots of change going on.
● Change is hard.
● Still the usual work.
Security Management
● Perm Sets over Profiles.
● Migration of Permissions.
● Perm Sets for Tasks.
● Limiting of Profiles.
This list is entirely subjective … so please feel free to agree or disagree. I’ve cited
these as being the three primary areas for growth and focus due to the ongoing
work relating to Flow, Permission Sets, Permission Set Groups and Profiles. A lot of
this work requires significant changes to long established management strategies
that Salesforce Administrators have implemented for a very, very long time.
