Crews will be performing construction work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project at Cedarvale and Forest Hill stations over the next few months. At Cedarvale Station, a 36-hour concrete pour will occur from July 31 to August 1, reducing Eglinton Avenue to one lane in each direction. Extended construction hours will also resume to complete pedestrian tunnels near Eglinton West Station. At Forest Hill Station, excavation and construction of station entrances will continue through 2020, and concrete pours are scheduled for August 14 and late August at the secondary entrance. Traffic configurations will be impacted at both stations through late summer due to this ongoing construction work.

4. UPCOMING CONCRETE POUR AT CEDARVALE STATION

From Friday July 31 – Saturday August 1, 2020 crews at Cedarvale Station will perform a
36-hour long concrete pour on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, between Allen Rd S and
Park Hill Rd.
• The concrete will form the permanent base for the track slab that the future LRT will travel on.
• Over 1200m3 of concrete will be poured.
• To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will start as early as 4:00 a.m. on Friday July
31 and continue through to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday August 1.
• To perform this work safely, Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while
the pour takes place.
• No changes to pedestrian routes are expected.
• Access to Eglinton Avenue West Station and TTC will be maintained at all times.
• Overnight noise from construction activities can be expected, while the pour takes place.

7. UPDATE RESUMPTION OF EXTENDED CONSTRUCTION HOURS

• In spring 2019, crews began working extended construction hours to accelerate construction of Cedarvale Station
• In July 2020 crews will resume extended construction hours to complete construction of the pedestrian tunnels in the
area surrounding Eglinton West Station.
• The tunnels will connect TTC’s Eglinton West Subway Station to the future Cedarvale LRT Station.
• This work will take place Monday – Saturday from 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.
• Construction activities include:
• Excavation (hauling will continue to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. only)
