To whom it may concern:
I am a passionate upcoming graduate seeking employment within your institution.
I am a senior at Nebraska Methodist College and have had four years of academic clinical experience on
several different units, including cardiac, ICU, bariatric, and orthopedic, as well as others floors and
different institutions. I am currently working as a home health aide, and have gained crucial
experience with basic nursing skills and patient interaction as a result.
Throughout my full-time education at Nebraska Methodist College, I also maintained steady
employment as a server. Working for over five years in the service industry has helped me to acquire
many valuable skills. As a server, I learned priceless social and communication skills during my
interactions with guests and other staff members. I excel at making others feel special, welcome, and
comfortable. I exceed at practicing patience and reacting in an understanding manner to unsatisfied
and upset individuals. I have learned how to be an effective team player, participated in countless
instances of successful teamwork, and place high value upon productivity as a group. Multitasking and
time management in a fast paced environment is what I excel at. Because I have the ability to
prioritize tasks all while making patients feel significant, comfortable, and competently taken care of,
I would be an excellent addition to your staff.
When I am assigned to your team, I will focus on excellent patient care, therapeutic communication,
and being present with my clients. I will also prioritize well and manage several tasks with a cool head
and a sound plan of action.
I am planning on taking the NCLEX in June or July 2016 and would be available to begin work in August
2016.
I am available to answer any questions you may have regarding my application or qualifications, or for
an interview. Phone calls or e-mails are the best methods of reaching me, and both can be found on
my resume. I would love to have the opportunity to work with your team.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I understand your time is valuable, and I look
forward to speaking with you soon. Sincerely,
Courtney West
