Before the simulation scene the students will be able to go through the preparation materials, resources and didactic tips that will help them in managing the simulated scene.
The training materials will also comprise information about good practices in service, cultural specific features of customers, ethics and fundamentals for customer satisfaction. The Simulator will correspond to the LEVELS A1, A2 and to some extent B1 of the "CEFRL" (Common European Framework for Languages)

This marks the difference between courses that are only e-information and those are true e-learning.

As this is not designed as far as we know (interactive?) and “it should be no exercises, no formal notes, no conjugations” etc. and because it would be a lot of text, we had the idea to provide this information in a PDF for each country, with its expressions and so on, in order to provide the learners, if they want, with “the nuts and the bolts…”. That is of course very non-interactive…. The interactive idea is to create the how to say in html with audio and video (similar with the Word/Phrases) with the record and play function. 31. Introduction Simulation 31 SIMULATION The video starts and stops for reaction by the learner. If the learner delays (ie. no action for 10 sec), the video goes to back and plays again – until the learner reacts recording the phrase (in the recording function). The simulations are “stories” that are created with the answers of the learner. He should answer in questions after each reaction. The answers lead the learner in different “paths / sub-situations” each time. The speaking recognition is impossible, so it’s impossible to create automatically the simulation path. We must provide questions asking the learner to choose his own answer. It’s an idea to ask the learner to record and type the phrase in a “fill to the blank” question Record function The record function is a Java or Flash application. After the answer it will be possible to listen the correct answer and pronunciation. We need to decide between 2 types of record function: An external java plug-in (with save the recording in a LMS) An internal record via “microphone class” in flash. This function allows only the use of the microphone. A Flash Media Server is needed to save the recording audio. II
