  1. 1. Get inspired It’s time to find out what makes you tick. Getting inspired in the YouTube age is easy – inspiration is everywhere. Whether it’s people, places, things, or actions that inspire you, today we’ll look at a bit of everything. Come on, let’s get started.
  2. 2. Get inspired by travel A big aspect of Corkscrew is travel. Everyone loves travel. And during this program, biggest thing that we want you to walk away with is the confidence to try something that you really want to do. 1 Move By Rick Mereki 3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage = a trip of a lifetime..
  3. 3. What inspires you? It’s an important question. Inspirations drive you forward and keep you on track. They say inspiration wears off, but so do showers. That’s why they’re recommended daily! Places Travel can be an eye opening experience. Quotes We’re big on quotes, here’s a favourite: “I hate studying, but I love learning” People For many people, people are at the heart of everything they do. Inventions New robots, advances in healthcare and the latest entertainment systems. Courage One of the best answers we’ve heard. Courage and bravery are simply inspiring. Interests What do you do in your spare time? Hobbies and interests can be a big source.

We want to show you just what you can achieve if you set your mind to it. This program is all about developing your confidence, skills and initiative, but above all we want to inspire you to make something!
  9. 9. Think about your skills and hobbies Think about what you’re good at. Your business idea will usually come from what you already know about! 1 What are you passionate about? What do you care about? Are there any issues that feel strongly about? Are you involved in any volunteer work? 2 Actively think about opportunities Keep looking at the world around you and think about any problems you could solve or things that you like. 3 You will be developing Your own Business idea Over the following four weeks you will be developing your own business idea with us. Don’t panic! You will be working closely with Neil and Tom throughout the program. They can help you find an idea you’d like to develop – as well as your fellow participants! Keep a record as you go Keep a record of any inspirations you have as you go through the program - it will help in our 1to1 sessions. 4
  10. 10. Magpie things you like Magpieing is taking things you like and using them. Mix and match things together and create something that looks good and sounds good. Your idea will build quickly!
  11. 11. Eureka! You are launching an exciting new product and you are here to pitch it! Each card contains a word. You will create your new product by combining 2 of these words together (e.g. Wax + Pen = Wax pen). 1 Pick a card & Find a pair Combine words & create your new product 2 3 Use visuals, but no computer!
