CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY is about how
companies manage the business processes
to produce an overall positive impact on society. CSR also
called corporate conscience,
corporate citizenship or responsible business is a form of
corporate
self-regulation integrated into a business model.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as a
paramount aspect of business practices that need to be
addressed bybusinesses in an effective manner. Apple
releases Supplier Responsibility Progress Report annually and
it includes the details of CSR programs and initiatives
engaged by the company.

CSR OF APPLE INC
In accordance with Section 135 of the CompaniesAct, 2013 and
the rules promulgated thereunder (collectively,the “CSR
Requirements”), the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Apple
India Private Limited (the “Company”) has adopted this
Corporate Social ResponsibilityPolicy (the “CSR Policy”).
CSR Projects and Programmes:-
The Companyshall undertake specific corporate social
responsibility(“CSR”) projects and programmes, as approved
from time to time by the Board in its capacity as the CSR
Committee of the Company, within the followingCSR
categories:
• Promoting education,includingspecial educationand
employment enhancingvocationalskillsand livelihood
enhancement projects;
• Ensuring environmentalsustainability;
• Promoting gender equalityand women’s empowerment;
• Promoting healthcare includingpreventive healthcare;
• Contributingto – or funding – technology incubatorslocated
within academic institutionswhich are approved by the central
government of India from time to time;
• Providing disaster relief under applicableitems in Schedule
VII of the CSR Requirements; and
• Providing financialassistance to reputablenon-governmental
organisations(“NGOs”) working in any of the above indicated
areas.
All CSR projects and programmes shall be carried out only in
India. No specific CSR projects or programmes shall be
undertaken in pursuance of normal course of business of the
Company.
In furtherance of specific CSR projects or programmes, the
Company may collaboratewith NGOs and other like-minded
stakeholders, includingother companies, registered trusts and
societies, in order to leverage upon the collective expertise,
wisdom and experience that such relationshipsmay bring. Set
forth on AppendixA to this CSR Policy are the specific projects
and programmes approved by the Board in furtherance of the
above CSR categories. AppendixA shall be updatedfrom time
to time as necessary to reflect additionsand revisions.
Budget:-
In accordance with CSR Requirements, the Company shall seek
to spend annually 2 per cent of the average net profits of the
Company, made during the three immediatelypreceding
financialyears, on specific CSR projects and programmes. The
Company shall take steps to ensure that any surplus arising out
of the Company’s CSR projects and programmes or activities
shall be set aside for later use in CSR projects and programmes
and in no event shall form part of the Company’sbusiness
profits.
Administration:-
The Company’sCSR projects and programmes shall be
overseen by a separately designated CSR committee of the
Board, provided,however, that so long as the Board consists of
two directors, such CSR committee shall consist of both
directors (hereinafter, the “Committee”). 1 Apple India Private

Monitoring and Reporting:-
Under the direction of the Committee, the Company shall
implement a monitoring mechanism over the Company’sCSR
projects and programmes.
Such monitoring mechanism shall, among other things, make
transparent the manner and detailsof the implementationof
all CSR projects and programmes undertakenby the Company.
The Board shall receive periodic reports from the Committee on
the status of the Company’simplementationof specific CSR
projects and programmes. On an annualbasis, the Board shall
report to relevant stakeholderson the Company’sCSR projects
and programmes and related matters, as required by CSR
Requirements.
Amendments to CSR Policy
The Committee shall review this CSR Policy on a periodic basis
and shall update it as necessary or appropriate(subject to
approvalby the Board, if applicable)to ensure that it reflects
CSR Requirements as well as the current interests of the
Company and relevant stakeholders.

focus on primary education,

Pune, and Mumbai, but
potentially otheror different
locations as may be
determined; • addressing
environmental issues in the
local communities in which
schools and teachers in
connection with the
foregoing operate; and/or •
enhancement of curricula
and teaching approaches
through use of technology for
use in the promotion of low-
income high-quality
education.
Special Education The Company may
undertake, through funding
or other means, one or more
of the following activities, in
collaboration with or through
one or more NGO’s: •
Supporting an exploratory
study on the impact of tablet
computers on the education
of vision-impaired young
people
The Special Education
programme is anticipated to
begin in September 2015 or
the reabouts

CSR OF APPLE INC In accordance with Section 135 of the CompaniesAct, 2013 and the rules promulgated thereunder (collectively,the “CSR Requirements”), the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Apple India Private Limited (the “Company”) has adopted this Corporate Social ResponsibilityPolicy (the “CSR Policy”). CSR Projects and Programmes:- The Companyshall undertake specific corporate social responsibility(“CSR”) projects and programmes, as approved from time to time by the Board in its capacity as the CSR Committee of the Company, within the followingCSR categories: • Promoting education,includingspecial educationand employment enhancingvocationalskillsand livelihood enhancement projects; • Ensuring environmentalsustainability; • Promoting gender equalityand women’s empowerment; • Promoting healthcare includingpreventive healthcare; • Contributingto – or funding – technology incubatorslocated within academic institutionswhich are approved by the central government of India from time to time;
  • 8. • Providing disaster relief under applicableitems in Schedule VII of the CSR Requirements; and • Providing financialassistance to reputablenon-governmental organisations(“NGOs”) working in any of the above indicated areas. All CSR projects and programmes shall be carried out only in India. No specific CSR projects or programmes shall be undertaken in pursuance of normal course of business of the Company. In furtherance of specific CSR projects or programmes, the Company may collaboratewith NGOs and other like-minded stakeholders, includingother companies, registered trusts and societies, in order to leverage upon the collective expertise, wisdom and experience that such relationshipsmay bring. Set forth on AppendixA to this CSR Policy are the specific projects and programmes approved by the Board in furtherance of the above CSR categories. AppendixA shall be updatedfrom time to time as necessary to reflect additionsand revisions. Budget:- In accordance with CSR Requirements, the Company shall seek to spend annually 2 per cent of the average net profits of the Company, made during the three immediatelypreceding financialyears, on specific CSR projects and programmes.
