Introduction
   What is SEO?
Stands for Search Engine Optimization, it is the way to make
Search Engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing ,… see, index your
website and put it in top pages for Keywords people search for

   How search engine work?
It use crawlers to crawl the web searching for each new, if they
found a new web page, they try to understand its content and
then they extract keywords and index the web page for that
keywords. If someone search for this keyword they sort all web
pages for that keywords according to Search Engine Algorithm
factors.

Optimizing website structure like HTML meta tags, meta
keywords, titles, headings, images, ….

Making comprehensive existence on web and making a lot of
websites linking to your site.

    Importance
Choosing keywords is the First and simplest step in SEO, they are words that Search Engine index
your website against.
 Choosing the right keyword
Well describing your web page, have less competition, have high search by
popularity.
 Keyword density
The web page should have repeated keywords in many places of web
page but not making it stuffed.
    Keyword allocation:
     Page meta-tags (keywords, and description)
     Page titles
     Headings
     Page content
     Anchor text
     image title and alt description
Off page - links
   Very Powerful tool
Make backlinks and provide you more exposure to
internet users
   Inbound and outbound links
Inbound links: links coming to your website from other website
Outbound: Links from your website to another website.
Both should be from and to trusted, high page rank, old, popular
websites to add value to your ranking on Google
   Anchor text
Anchor text used by a website to link back to your website
is of high important as Search Engine give you high
ranking for that word.
On page – Meta tags
   Meta keywords
Should be optimized to keywords of the page and be unique for
any page

   Meta description
Help the Search Engine understand the content of web page.
Some times used by Search Engine on the result page.
Should be optimized for keywords and be unique for each page
On page - Page URL
   Keyword in domain, directory and file names
   Static URL and dynamic URL
Static URL is preferred more by Search Engine. But as it is important to
make dynamic websites, it limits factors in URL to be 2 at most .
   robots.txt file
Tells the Search Engine which web pages to crawl. should be on root folder
   Sitemap
Two types of Sitemaps:
User sitemap: used to easy navigate website. Consists of links of
inner pages of website
sitemap.xml file: used by Search Engine to know the structure of
website and navigate easily through
On page - content
   What is good content?
Good content give information for readers, unique, well
described, well organized, big, and give more links for further
information.

   Quality and quantity content
The content should not be big and have no value, so when you
write consider quality more than quantity.
   Writing content for search engine and
    people
If the people finds your content of high quality, search engine
follows and high rank your website.
   Duplicate content is SEO killer

   Images
Use keywords in file name, alt, title

   Flash movies
Avoid flash as Search Engine cant understand the content of the
Flash Movies

   Frames
Don’t ever use frames

   JavaScript and CSS
Use them in separate files not imbedded within HTML.
