Population Impact – Second Appliance Attendance
Draft 5th
London Safety Plan (LSP5)
Overview:
This brief sets out the impact of the proposed cuts on the
populations, taking into account ward population numbers. It
focuses on the changes to the second appliance attendance
time.
Over 4.5million Londoners will see their 2nd
appliance attendance time worsen, while only
1.5million will see their attendance time improve
Over 1million Londoners living in the most deprived
wards in London will see their 2nd
appliance
attendance time worsen while only 78k who live in
these wards will see an improvement in their
attendance times
Wards moving from inside the 8minute target time to
outside the target time compared to those moving from
outside to inside the target time
The draft LSP5 highlights that more Boroughs will now be within
the 8 minute average target time for the 2nd
appliance. When this
is looked at a Ward level, 29 wards move from outside the
target time to inside while 32(29 minus the City of London
wards) move from within the 8 minute target time to outside.

attendance time for 2nd
