This past year our
Board of Directors has
been extremely innovative
and progressive in dealing with
the suffering in our community. I
receive great hope from the constant
efforts of the FSA staff in addressing the
most pressing needs in our communities head
on. Our passionate belief that “Family Strength is
Community Strength,” motivates and guides us in our
quest to serve.
Family Service will always be the advocate for the family.
When you are the voice for many of those who cannot speak
for themselves you cannot be silent on issues that matter.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of FSA, thank you very much, to all our supporters,
volunteers and staff.
Tim Streeter, Board Chair
The past year has been
a difficult one. Day after day,
listening to the news, it has been
easy to get depressed, as one hears
and sees the unemployed, the homeless,
the foreclosures and the hungry among us.
But then you come to work at Family Service, and
observe families, children and our seniors getting
help in all sorts of ways….quality child care, nutritious
meals, affordable housing….and hope once again springs
eternal. I am extremely privileged and honored to work
with those who care about their neighbors and communities,
and every day, in every way, make our world a better place.
This Annual Report attempts to capture but a glimpse of the tremendous good
work of FSA. I hope you take the time to review it and feel free to contact us for more information and to
volunteer. We are on a mission to strengthen families and communities, and your consideration
of donating time, talent, or treasure to our cause would be most appreciated.
