Calculation instructions Version 1.2
Become a Star: Become a top seller - with a maximum profit margin!
The calculation lays the foundation for your economic success. Starsellersworld determines the
optimal selling price of your articles on the basis of your defaults of the min and max surcharges,
forwarding expenses and purchase prices. Important factors such as competitive prices and
valuations are also included in the calculation.
1.1 Price calculation at supplier level
A supplier in Starsellersworld can be a producer, a warehouse or a distributor.
The supplier price is the basis of every further calculation. The calculation can then be defined at
sales level and at item level.
The calculation settings for each supplier can be found here:

Open the settings tab
Here you can enter your percentage surcharge, discount deduction and the flat rate for shipping
costs. You can also manage the minimum and maximum stock and listing stock here.
Example: A supplier gives a discount of 15% on all articles, then this can be entered here for
percentage discount. The purchase price is reduced by this percentage.
Then you can, for example, define a percentage surcharge of 5%, then 5% of the supplier discount
remains for you.
Here you can also set the flat-rate shipping cost charge.

Shipping costs can be defined per item, per delivery, per staggered price or based on weight per

2. Price calculation at seller level – Control your margin!
Select Account management -> Interfaces
Click on the small black arrow on the left side to open the seller account

You can define different scales for pricing. We recommend that you define a maximum of three
scales. The price calculation should be adapted to your shipping structure on the online marketplace.
It should be noted that the price is entered in net and not in gross.
The Min% surcharge applies to the entire portfolio in the indicated (price € from to price € up to)
price range. This is added to the sales price (not to the supplier price). The Max% surcharge is also
calculated on the sales price and only applies if no other competitor lists the product.
Example 1:
An article has a price of 24,00 €. There is no competitor offering the same product. Then the system
calculates a price of 27,60 €. (Max-surcharge 15%)
Example 2:
An article has a price of 24,00 €. A competitor offers the same product for 26,90 €. Then the system
calculates a price of 26,80 €.
Example 3:
An article has a price of 24,00 €. A competitor offers the same product for 23,50 €. Then the system
calculates a sales price of 24€.
The Min € surcharge is a fixed value that is always added to the VK in the price range.
The underbid value, as shown in the screenshot above, undercuts the competitor by
Ten cents. If you want to outbid it instead of underbid it, you can, for example, enter
-0.15 on. With this you outbid your competitor by 15 cents.
The settings can be simulated in the simulation on article level to see how they would behave on the
market (see 3.Price calculation on article level p.11).

Click on the column you want to change and enter the value. Finally confirm the change with
"ENTER".

Log in with your Seller Central account to view the current shipping model.
Click on Settings -> Shipping Settings

Activate "Hierarchized price" and click on the plus + button.
Here you can enter the data of your Seller Central account.
2.2 Optional surcharges
Click on Account management -> Interfaces -> Calculation -> Optional additions

3. Price calculation at item level
You can find the Article price calculation in the item management.
Click on purchase / item management and on the left on the + beside an item
Select Article price calculation here

3.1 Simulation
The simulation can be found to the right of the Article Price Calculation tab.
Below you can see a simulation of the calculation of a product. The data can be easily changed and
the result can be viewed live. The data is not saved, but only simulated.
The purchase price, the shipping costs per item and the VAT are deducted directly from the product.
The Amazon fee is determined by the system.
The shipping flat rate, discount and supplier surcharge can be found under
Account management -> Interfaces / accounts -> Supplier interface -> Settings

The markup (amount) or (percentage) can be set under
Account management -> Interfaces/accounts -> Sales interface -> Calculation->

4. Excluded competitors
4.1 Excluded competitors based on seller's name
Click on the logo of the desired seller.
Now a page opens from which we can copy the Amazon-ID of the seller.
For Ebay, you just need the seller name.
The desired Amazon ID is displayed in the address line behind "seller =".

Copy the seller's Amazon ID
Now open the menu item "Exclude competitors".
You can find it under
"Interfaces", open the sales interface (Main and contract account).
Now click on "Calculation" and "Exclude competitors".
Then select "Add seller exclusion" in the footer bar.
Now paste the copied Amazon ID of the seller into the corresponding field or add the name of the
seller you want to exclude, e.g. “laptop_top”
Now click on "Add" to add the seller to the competition exclusion.
The excluded competitor will now be displayed in the list below:

4.2 Exclusion of competition based on assessment points and feedback
You can exclude competitors that are below a defined evaluation or feedback limit.
Open the menu item "Exclude competitors".
This can be found under "Interfaces / Accounts", here open your main and contract account.
Now click on "Calculation" and "Exclude competitors".
Here you can define a minimum value for the rating points.
Sellers with less than 408 rating points are now automatically excluded as competitors.

You can also define a minimum feedback value here.
Sellers who have less than 4.8 points of feedback are now automatically excluded as competitors.
Click "Exclude" to make the settings effective.
You can also exclude Top-Rated or NON-Top-Rated-Sellers here. And also private sellers.

The calculation lays the foundation for your economic success. Starsellersworld determines the optimal selling price of your articles on the basis of your defaults of the min and max surcharges, forwarding expenses and purchase prices. Important factors such as competitive prices and valuations are also included in the calculation. 1.1 Price calculation at supplier level A supplier in Starsellersworld can be a producer, a warehouse or a distributor. The supplier price is the basis of every further calculation. The calculation can then be defined at sales level and at item level. The calculation settings for each supplier can be found here: Select Account management / Interfaces Click on the small black arrow on the left side to open the supplier account

You can also manage the minimum and maximum stock and listing stock here. Example: A supplier gives a discount of 15% on all articles, then this can be entered here for percentage discount. The purchase price is reduced by this percentage. Then you can, for example, define a percentage surcharge of 5%, then 5% of the supplier discount remains for you. Here you can also set the flat-rate shipping cost charge.

The price calculation should be adapted to your shipping structure on the online marketplace. It should be noted that the price is entered in net and not in gross. The Min% surcharge applies to the entire portfolio in the indicated (price € from to price € up to) price range. This is added to the sales price (not to the supplier price). The Max% surcharge is also calculated on the sales price and only applies if no other competitor lists the product. Example 1: An article has a price of 24,00 €. There is no competitor offering the same product. Then the system calculates a price of 27,60 €. (Max-surcharge 15%) Example 2: An article has a price of 24,00 €. A competitor offers the same product for 26,90 €. Then the system calculates a price of 26,80 €. Example 3: An article has a price of 24,00 €. A competitor offers the same product for 23,50 €. Then the system calculates a sales price of 24€. The Min € surcharge is a fixed value that is always added to the VK in the price range. The underbid value, as shown in the screenshot above, undercuts the competitor by Ten cents. If you want to outbid it instead of underbid it, you can, for example, enter -0.15 on. With this you outbid your competitor by 15 cents. The settings can be simulated in the simulation on article level to see how they would behave on the market (see 3.Price calculation on article level p.11). You can change the values directly in the table.

Below you can see a simulation of the calculation of a product. The data can be easily changed and the result can be viewed live. The data is not saved, but only simulated. The purchase price, the shipping costs per item and the VAT are deducted directly from the product. The Amazon fee is determined by the system. The shipping flat rate, discount and supplier surcharge can be found under Account management -> Interfaces / accounts -> Supplier interface -> Settings See also 1.1.

Now a page opens from which we can copy the Amazon-ID of the seller. For Ebay, you just need the seller name. The desired Amazon ID is displayed in the address line behind "seller =".

You can find it under "Interfaces", open the sales interface (Main and contract account). Now click on "Calculation" and "Exclude competitors". Then select "Add seller exclusion" in the footer bar. Now paste the copied Amazon ID of the seller into the corresponding field or add the name of the seller you want to exclude, e.g. “laptop_top” Now click on "Add" to add the seller to the competition exclusion. The excluded competitor will now be displayed in the list below:

Open the menu item "Exclude competitors". This can be found under "Interfaces / Accounts", here open your main and contract account. Now click on "Calculation" and "Exclude competitors". Here you can define a minimum value for the rating points. Sellers with less than 408 rating points are now automatically excluded as competitors.
