E JELLY BABY DISASTER
By Vic, Chloe, Holly and
Katy.
We used theses shot of jelly babies to show a story.
Our story is about the death of a jelly baby and how
it had an effect on others around him, our genre is
Stage 1;
For our first stage
picture we used red
tape to represent the
danger but it is also the
heart monitor.
We used a high angle to
show the sadness of all
the jelly babies. The
family is on the left with
the doctor on the right
showing the doctor is
more important.
The lighting is dark on
this photo to represent
the gloominess and
sadness of the scene.
Stage 2:
This is a mid shot
of the two relatives
saying there last
good bye to there
ill family member,
this shot is used to
make the cross
more obvious.
We still used a low
lighting to
represent the
sadness.
The cross is to
show that his heart
beat has stopped.
Stage 3;
In this photo we
have
Wrapped red tape
around the jelly
baby (like a blanket)
to show that the
patient has died.
We used a shadow
to show the
sadness reflecting
of the jelly babies
and we have used
shadowing whilst
telling them the bad
news. The doctor is
on the left now
telling the relatives
what's happened.
Stage 4;
We used a tilted
camera angle in this
shot to show the
uneasy feeling that
the relatives have
after hearing the
news.
The lighting is a lot
darker here as it’s a
very sad moment.
We have positioned
the parents lying
down on the floor
showing theyve
been told the news
and how upset they
are. The light is
focused on them
which creates
shadows in the
background the
Stage 5;
The lighting in
this shot is
lighter around
the bed as this is
the main focus
point of the
shot. This shot
is showing that
the patient is
completely dead,
the black face in
the background
emphasis on this
point and the
black is used to
headline the
death.
CONCLUSION
This task has helped me a lot, for a start I have learnt that lighting
can be important in a scene, as it can change the mood completely by
practicing when talking photos it was really helpful and will make me
think more wisely about what camera angles to use when filming our
opening sequence.

  • 5. Stage 4; We used a tilted camera angle in this shot to show the uneasy feeling that the relatives have after hearing the news. The lighting is a lot darker here as it’s a very sad moment. We have positioned the parents lying down on the floor showing theyve been told the news and how upset they are. The light is focused on them which creates shadows in the background the
  • 6. Stage 5; The lighting in this shot is lighter around the bed as this is the main focus point of the shot. This shot is showing that the patient is completely dead, the black face in the background emphasis on this point and the black is used to headline the death.

CONCLUSION This task has helped me a lot, for a start I have learnt that lighting can be important in a scene, as it can change the mood completely by practicing when talking photos it was really helpful and will make me think more wisely about what camera angles to use when filming our opening sequence.
